Take it from someone who's been in a chemically menopausal state before; it's not fun. Presumably you know that hormone levels can usually* be kept fairly stable with birth control and that you can actually avoid having cycles without any negative effects if you do your research properly.

*Unless your cycles are replaced with blood clots the size of two-month old parasitic lifeforms called "foetuses" that actually give you real contractions and that you physically have to give birth to every time you have hormonal fluctuations, in which case you really have bigger issues.
Personally I couldn't wait to have sex. Which somehow, I find almost equally inappropriate to discuss in public.

A hysterectomy is a pretty drastic (and permanent) option, especially for someone so young. From what I've read, it isn't even a guaranteed cure for endometriosis.
True, but I'm kind of out of options and am currently on three different kinds of birth control and absurd doses of oxy and codeine.

The next step is trying to have an analgesic foetus.
