Leaving on Ferry

I've given Hassan the coin and the coins...in other words he's been paid and he knows I am the king.  I also have the cloak.  I've also tried using the hand on the ferry.  How do I get on the ferry?  I've also moved the boat on the map to the Isle of the Sacred (Mountain)
