I thought I would start a thread about data encryption, use of public and private keys to ensure identity, and the importance of having your information in a computer that is not hooked up to the Internet and is a desktop computer that usually stays in one place to prevent the computer from being stolen except in the case of a home burglary where the burglar hopefully will ignore the huge desktop especially if it is an older obsolete computer.

I also want to talk about data encryption and the use of 128 bit encryption compared to 256 bit encryption and how browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, etc. help protect you or actually hurt you.  I really enjoy the secunia.com website where you can research any software by using the search box.
