It should, though, i played through it twice so far and will return to it again. it;s a very well-made game. There are nice side effects and the game may surprise you at one point or another. It's well-written and it;s done in the classic style. If it came out with kg and qfg it would be, in my oinion, rembered with just as much nostalgia.

It's to be found here: http://www.crystalshard.net/

I played ATOTK a while back, but I only finished it once and didn't get full score so I also plan to go back and play it someday when I have some free time ;)
I think it's an excellent game that could easily match any KQ remake done so far. I liked the fact that the developers took the trouble to add extra features like asking NPCs to do things and the developer's comments. It's a shame this game is relatively unknown, maybe people just don't care for original games and would rather stick to the old nostalgia :-\

You're welcome :)
You might also want to check out www.giveawayoftheday.com, they give away a different free software every day. Most of it is useless junk but every once in a (long) while there's a useful little program or a nice screensaver worth downloading.

Of course I would find this the day AFTER it expires.  :P Oh well.  :(

Sorry about that, I should have posted this sooner :-[ But hey, the game only costs $7. Not that I think it's worth that much :P
Anyways like night-owl said, maybe they'll have a re-run... they give 2 games every weekend, it's usually not adventures though (unless you have a very broad definition for 'adventures').

That's ok. I wasn't on all weekend so I wouldn't have seen it in time anyway. I'll have to keep an eye on it though. As you said they might come out with something interesting.

I wouldn't mind seeing another remake of KQ3, to be honest.  I like the remake that is out now (if you haven't played it, you need to)... but I've always felt that KQ3 would lend itself quite well to a cinematic 3D treatment similar to that of TSL.

Take, for example, the following idea:

At the beginning of the game, when the player is able to move around, the game starts in the main entry hall of Manannon's house.  After the player moves, the camera immediately changes to at the foot of the staircase looking up to the mid-level landing.  A peal of lightning flashes behind the windows as a plume of smoke begins to rise from the landing.  The candles on either side of the window flicker violently as the smoke rises up and wipes around, eventually forming into Mannannon.  The camera pans in close to Mannannon, again framed by the window as another peal of lightning flashes across the windows, Mannannon's gaze fixed on the camera, a slight reflection of Gweidyon in his pitch black eyes...

Tell me that doesn't sound cinematic and gripping?  Again, a treatment similar to that of TSL, giving a classic game a total reconstruction to make it fit right in with other modern adventure games, especially in the storytelling department.

If you look at what they're giving for free, you'd be surprised people pay for it on any other day ;P

I have only one thing to say: oh, yeah! Kq 3 as it is now is great and tricky but what you;ve just depicted well it's so visual. it would be fantastic.
