PKC is lynched at sundown and the villagers go to bed. All except Mango and Cat who stay up late together playing cards. In the middle of their card game, they hear a door creak. However, they disregard the creaking door for the cat coming in or the wind or something else and continue their card game. Suddenly, Mango, who is facing Cat, looks up behind Cat ands screams. Koko is bludgeoned so hard that she becomes in conscious. When Cat  comes to, she finds Mango's lifeless body laying on the floor, her mouth, ears, and nostrils stuffed with playing cards.
Scrawled on the wall, in presumably Mango's blood, is one word: impostor.

Cat runs to gather the townspeople, her head throbbing all the way to the meeting.
