Yes those that are deceased, are really those that the mafia killed. The one's who were lynched are crossed off so that people can keep track of who the mafia's killed and who was killed by the others.

I think so... on A3P's last chart, there were ten people alive and nine tally marks up. So I must've been the last one to vote, right?
