It's a very good, cross-genre series. It's definitely worth giving a try, though!

Here's my favorites, from best to worst:

1) 4
2) 1
3) 5
4) 2
5) 3

You will want to play them in chronological order, though...

I don't debate, I ramble with STYLE!

Indeed you have! But you have the power to rectify that.

I think you'll enjoy it. Start with 1 so you can move your character through all five.

Keep in mind I never FINISHED 2, but it's my least favorite for sure..And 3 had very little going on to do with normal role-playing...I think my list would go as follows:
1) 4
2) 5
3) 1
4) 3
5) 2

Ditto... and I doubt I will anytime soon... I don't really play games all the much anymore, at least not nearly as much as I used to. :-\

I'd like to... but I find that I really only have time to really dive into one game at a time *can't wait for Spore*... just had to throw in... and right now that's Oblivion... after which it will be Wild Arms 5... my gaming schedule is beginning to look like my reading schedule :o (granted I can rarely find the books I want to read anyway... such as BATRAXOMYOMAXIA in Classical Greek  :-\)

I've never played QFG either. My parents were the ones who introduced me to KQ. It'd be fun to try and get a hold of them to play though.

I highly recommend if you have not enough time, putting 1, 4, and 5 on a list of games to play when you can.

I'll probably start with 1 and then have to play them all anyways. :P

That would be best. Who knows maybe the AGDI VGA version of QFG2 will be out by the time you get to it.

That'll make QFGII worth it to me...I could never deal with the stupid maze in it, so I gave up very quickly.

The maze wasn't so bad. Especially if you had the map, both of them. The one in the box and the one in the game. Once you've bought the map and been to a place you could click on that place in the map and go right to it.
(I think that's how it worked. If I'm not confusing games.)

Right, all you had to do was get there once manually. In the case of the moneychanger, before you have an in-game map, it was really very frustrating.

Oh well, nice idea, but didn't work out. The rest of QfG2 is much better.  8)

It was there way of copy protection. I'd say it worked very well too. It could be frustration even when you had the map.  ;)

I liked the QFG games - though I liked Space Quest better. I don't think any of them had Spam, though.

I think one of the QFG's had a Spam reference actually.....I forget which one. Oh well maybe not a Spam reference, but QFG1VGA definately had the three questions reference from Holy Grail!

You can type in "hamandjamandspamalot" to activate the cheats in one of the games. :P

EDIT: That happens in COC, ignore me.

Hmmmm... It's been a while since I played, so I guess I forgot about that. ;] It makes a nice link between QFG and Spam in this thread!
