I was temporarily lost! We had bad flooding in Nashville, particularly within the mile we live. We couldn't make it home last night, but we left early enough this morning before the second round of storms that we were able to get past the roads that were flooded over last night...before they reflood.

The first pic is of the road at the intersection we take every day on our way to work.

The second pic is probably right around our exit on the interstate.

The third is just some cars that are stuck...we got off the interstate right before this part to try a second way home...

Thankfully we're on a second floor and our apartment is on a hill. So the roads all around our apartment flooded, but our complex is ok :) We were worried about Erik's car, since we didn't know the extent of anything last night, but the car, apartment, and Immy the kitten are all in good shape.

Sadly, we did find out that someone did die on Interstate 24 right at Bell Road, which is our exit when we're headed home. God was definitely watching out for us...too many coincidences last night for it to be otherwise!

That's crazy. :-\ Talked to Jacob and they're fine but he said people are out swimming in their back yards and getting around in kayaks.

Yeah, there's a creek that runs by my grandmother's house, so her backyard is now basically a pond, but it didn't get up to her basement. :)
