I never played "Quest for Glory," but I thought of another awesome one-liner from KQ 6: "Ohhhh, I HATE not getting what I want!!!"   

Well if you like adventure and character building you'd love them. The story is very well thought out and told. One of my all time favorites.

the originals are not (that's debatable, there's abandonware but that may not be legal) but the QfG2 remake is from agdinteractive.com -- same people as the kq1-2 remakes!

Well there is the remake of QFG II You can probably find them on ebay from time to time though.

The remake is fantastic, it takes everything "ehh" about the game (alleyways, combat), and makes them enjoyable.

Quest for Glory in my opinion, had considerably better plot and puzzles than KQ ever did, with the exception of KQ6.

Oh I just remebered another KQ6, which may not be as common.

Alex: "Excuse me, the Red Queen dropped her scarf."

Red Knight: "The Red Queen is always dropping her scarves.  She finds it fashionable."

I didn't pick up on this one until I bought the newest KQ collection last year.

lol, yeah.  I have all he originals..... in the original boxes........ no collection, but that collection is a great deal.  it comes with an old version of dosbox, but they all should work on xp/vista.

I'm envious, atec.  I used to have the originals, but over the years they've disappeared.    (Except for the sixth and seventh games...they're lurking in the garage somewhere.)

"Wha?" -Kq6 (cant remember how but think it is for deliberately walking into the firepit at some point, its the narrators tone thats funny like "what the heck did you do that for!?")

I am actually laughing out loud, so much that my mom asked me why I'm laughing.  Those are great!  I always thought Alexander's high-pitched "girl's" voice was probably one of the best parts of the game.  It's funny how when guys try to imitate girls, they sound so completely off.
