These days you can spell it so many different ways.  I'm not going to bore you with all the spellings unless you ask for it!  And then there's no guarantee I'll remember all of the spellings!  

I like to say that my spelling is the "old world" spelling...because of Catherine the Great in Russia!  lol

I don't have a real life nickname, Aaron is short enough as it is. Though I have had some people mispronounce/mishear/misspell it, mostly as Erin or Alan. Some people have even spelled it Aron.

Heh, that reminds me of the teacher I had in first year that taught Technical Report Writing always pronounced "colon" as "co-lawn".  It was pretty funny.  Her and her "semi-co-lawns"!  The odd part was that she pronounced everything else normally.

Either something went wrong with my post yesterday, or it was deleted (wouldn't know why though, there was no offensive language AFAIK), or I put it into the wrong thread.

Anyway, I'd pronounce it as c-o-lin because when someone's named Colin in Flanders, that's how we pronounce it. See, in Dutch, a colon is dubbele punt[/i] and a semi-colon is puntkomma so there's no confusion.
