You know, it's been forever since I've posted frequently, that I don't only not know whether we do birthday threads any more, but I don't know WHAT forum to post them in!

But it's Tessie's birthday today! My asylum twin (even if she is the more insane one for being a Connor defender), and awesome forumer.

Aww thankies! I hadn't thought about it this morning (only got up 20 minutes ago) until I saw this.

My parents got me a radio/alarm clock thing that let's you wake up to a cd or an ipod. My grandmother is buying me my college ring.

Not really making a big deal out of it this year, just went out to dinner with my family.

Why aren't you making a big deal out of it? Don't you realize what it means? You have made it through another year without doing anything that resulted in your death -- that is a VERY BIG DEAL! HUGE! ENORMOUS! GINORMOHUGEOUS! It's such a big deal, I just had to make up a multisyllabic word to describe it. Now bring me some cake.

That alarm clock sounds wicked cool, btw, and bling is always nice. Good haul!!

Thanks. Have to be a TA to get the scholarship - which includes teaching classes if prof can't make it, ugh - but for free grad school I'll do what I have to.

Don't know for sure if that's where we'll go - haven't turned in the applications even for a couple others - but Jacob got in with the TA scholarship as well so it's looking pretty darn good.

Oh, and to add to the list of things I got, he sent me a really cute program he wrote.

Now that I think about, I probably won't bother turning in the last two applications, which means it's down to WF or NC State, which I think is supposed to have a good Comp Sci program as well. So it's just a matter of waiting to see what NC State offers.
