-Making fun, fun decisions. Morphine pump or artificial coma?
-Crying.
-Failing at being productive.

Artificial coma. That's what I'd go with... but then my belenephobia makes me reason as follows:

"You want to put sharp pointy things where? Yeah, no, not while I'm awake."
or
"Oh, you want to give me a shot? Can I be anasthetized first? No? Then, no."

Yes, well, my mother, being the fantastic woman that she is, decided she wouldn't take me to the hospital so I could have a morphine pump and some actual pain relief because she was worried what people would think of her. So I basically got drugged up on soporific drugs and have been sleeping roughly 1/2-3/4 of the day away since Monday. And screaming and taking oxy for the rest.

That she's a wonderful mother who gets her daughter the best medical care available to her? Why would they think anything bad of her for taking you to the hospital to have your pain managed?

I'm don't quite know. She also wasn't terribly pleased when I started taking oxy. I've had a morphine pump before, so I'm not sure why it would suddenly no longer be an acceptable thing.

I'm don't quite know. She also wasn't terribly pleased when I started taking oxy. I've had a morphine pump before, so I'm not sure why it would suddenly no longer be an acceptable thing.

Perhaps one of her friends has informed her that it is garish and tacky to take one's daughter to the hospital and that the proper thing to do is to watch them suffer in a dignified yet distant [read: stupid] fashion?

-foruming while I wait for him to just point out that the logistic fit IS a sigmoidal fit (they say "regression": I keep saying "fit" b/c I think of "fitting data" to a previously known mathematical form (linear, quadratic, exponential, sigmoidal, etc.) Now, I know a lot of people didn't see or have defined for them what a sigmoidal shape is in high school... but this is GRAD school!)

-being somewhat amused by the derivation of the general form of a sigmoid that is going on in front of me...
-generally being a bad student it would seem

-after seeing some of the ages on our upcoming birthdays, wondering if we shouldn't purge the viginticentigenerians from our members... I'm almost certain that the world doesn't have any humans that that are roughly 2000 yrs. old... but then maybe some redwoods developed sentience and became avid KQ fans and decided to troll our forums?? (I'm almost certain that the links on those profiles are NSFW, but I'm not about to check in class.)

-Finished spending a wonderful week with my visiting family.
-Sending emails.
-Taking a break from studying.
-Turning in online homework.
-Cursing school and finals.

-being tired but not wanting to go to bed yet

-being in that state of "well, I'm a little tired, but mostly it's just that I'm not doing anything... I could totally doze off ri-i-i-i-i-ight now... ish... nope, still here"

-having things open for writing... not writing anything though

-realizing with a bit of a start that I still need to do my teaching and learning module's homework (it's due May 15th, but I can't leave it until then... also, I have to get my literature review reading done and start writing... I may just lock myself in my room for a week with papers... trips to the library for printing may be involved)

-Being so exhausted.
-Waking up after only two hours of sleep (it wouldn't be so bad on its own, but I didn't really sleep at all last night).
-Being too miserable to sleep more and unable to take anything for throat-relief.
-Wondering what to do.

No, I didn't misspell "water," shockingly enough. I had an upset stomach today, so I stuck to a bland diet and ginger ale.  I do that every now and then when my stupid unpredictable tummy acts up.
