Hi, Deloria! !!!
HEYA! :D

-So the V&A didn't happen. Long story short, there was a big storm the night before - I didn't actually think it was that bad because the walls in Jamie's parents' house appear to actually be made of paper, so hearing absolutely everything is not at all unusual. :P I mean, yes, there was a ton of wind, but it didn't seem disastrous. Only the next day we head to the train station, only to be told that they have yet to have had a single train (in over five hours) and that a crane had collapsed, there were several trees on the tracks in both directions, and there was a fire in the tunnel. So no V&A, no diamond exhibit and no massive meringues named Admiral Poof (a suitably pretentious name for an appropriately pretentious place).
-Anyway, BRITAIN! Cold, rainy, no baroque buildings, you know. :P
-Nomming the massive chocolate egg my sort-of would-be in-laws bought me (that's a lot of hyphens)
-I got a new diagnosis! EDS! Probably vascular, which is not great for a number of reasons, but at least I get answers and hopefully one less thing standing in the way of my fabled oophorectomy which I want so, so badly (but no one will give me because condescending something something misogyny something bodily autonomy something "BUT WHAT IF A MILLIONAIRE WANTS TO MARRY YOU BUT ONLY IF YOU HAVE HIS BABIES???!" questions), because now we know that pregnancies carried to term have a very high likelihood of killing me. That brings the grand total of stuff wrong with me up to: Endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS and EDS.
-Jamie and I are super secretly engaged after 5.5 years of dating and 2 of living together but not telling anyone. :P

- Grocery shopping.

- Thinking about the game I'm making.
What kind of game are you making? :)

That's...really unfortunate.
I have no mouth, and I must scream.

Congrats on the engagement!

As for my game, it's an RPG that stars a Bard as my main character, in a world where the magic system is all based on sound like music, your voice. Long story short, the deities of this world managed to drive away the Void, the embodiment of Silence and the absence of Light from the land. However, it wasn't gone for good. It hid, it waits, it gathers power and uses it to create monsters and corrupt people. There is something that it fears and is harmed by, and that is Sound and Light. Now the Void is starting to trickle back into the world again as a new cycle begins...

That's the basic idea. Yes, I know, sounds like the most cliche thing ever. But even cliches and tropes can be done well.

Thanks. :) Impulse decision - things move faster with a reduced lifespan. :P

It sounds very Loom-y, but that doesn't mean it's a cliché. I played a Loom-like last year called Forge and it was one of the most beautiful adventures I'd ever played. :)

Huh, good point.

Not exactly the biggest Loom fan myself, but I can see what you mean.
