(My computer organization class, for whoever might be wondering, is actually about the low-level architecture of computers, digital logic in chips and stuff and how assembly code interacts with memory, registers, cache, etc. It's a fun, but hard class. :P)
The class we had similar to that was my 2nd favorite class in college. We had a "binary bomb" project where we were given the assembly code for a program and had to figure out the right inputs. If you guessed wrong it blew up and you lost points. I think I annoyed my partner because I kept figuring out the next part without him because I was having so much fun with it XD

Course now I've forgotten it all and I'm having to relearn it for my Compilers class :P

Between this and that game programming class you took where you leveled up, I'm very curious as to where exactly you're finding these fantastic classes. XD

So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

lol wow. I'd completely forgotten about the leveling up part of that class, and was rather confused for a few seconds XD But that would be Elon University in NC. Loved the comp sci department there, the professors were great :D Though on the other hand I'm done with school in the spring and am going to have to start paying off all the loans it took to go to such an expensive school... :S

Man, I wish. I could totally rock that exam. :P

I did look that up before responding, but I couldn't resist. ;D Actually, that sounds like a really interesting class. I've run across some assembly looking at (TSL) crash dumps, but it's all way over my head. :-\

Awww nice :) When is her due date?

The Bad: Had to cut a story in half at my internship this afternoon.
The Good: I'm glad they told me it was way too long so I could edit/revise it. I'm actually pretty pleased with the final product.
The Bitter sweet: The internship ends Friday.

Well, it was December 17, but because the baby is pretty big already (~8.5 lbs at 35 weeks), they're not going to let it go past December 10th or so.

The BAD: Having problems with Linux
The Worse: Somehow I broke the Fog server our department uses for reimaging computers. :(

Update: Fixed it. Somehow MySQL had gotten hosed. I reinstalled it, and it's all better now.

How much was tuition a year there Tess if you don't mind me asking? I went to a state university in my home state. It's been a pretty good education though. To me it shouldn't matter where you learned stuff, it's how much of it have you retained and can apply it in whatever field you are in.

I'm sorry you are losing your job Gilgamesh. Hopefully you can find a new one soon!

The bittersweet: cleaning out my desk
The bad: Not inclined to finish this story just yet.

When I first went there (2006) it was about 21,000 I think? It was a little less for me due to being in-state and scholarships. It's gone way up in price though since then, 37,000 with tuition and room & board combined. My sister's a sophomore there this year and she's transferring to a state school next year due to the cost.

Fierce Deity

Not so great today, I'm afraid.

The Bad: I got into a car accident on my way home from work, thus totaling my car and providing me with no way to get to work next week.

The Good: I found a tow truck service that can buy what's left of my car off me. I have to sign the title over, and he can use it for parts, and whatnot. A blessing in disguise, cause now I can look for a new car.

I'm fine. I was shooken up when it happened, but it's never something you get used to. I'm down in the dumps, but I'm considering this a perfect time to change up my life a bit, starting with a new car.

Yes he will. *sings* "I lift my eyes unto the hill/where does my help come from?/ my help comes from the Lord, maker of heaven and earth"

The annoying: These essays I have to write for graduation.... going to be the bane of my existence until December 2nd.
