Quote from: Deloria on February 09, 2012, 10:16:34 AMThe GOOD: I'm starting to not feel quite as miserable as I have been all day long. The GOOD: I feel motivated to do Greek! Let's butcher Antigone and memorise 200 vocab words!
Quote from: Deloria on February 09, 2012, 10:16:34 AMThe GOOD: I've picked up on the not so subtle similarities in the stems of lambanw, lagxanw, lanthanw and a few others, so I'm not banging my head against the wall begging for euthanasia just about now like other people in the class are. I feel so very superior.
Quote from: Deloria on February 09, 2012, 12:41:07 PMWhat sort of vocab did you have to learn?
Quote from: Deloria on February 09, 2012, 12:41:07 PMI just don't particularly like Antigone as a character. All the moaning about how she wants to die and be beloved in the afterlife for her heroic deeds strikes me as very self-absorbed. You shouldn't want to be a martyr, it should just be something that happens. And brazenly going to your death just because you're too caught up in the pain of your past (she does actually ask what the point of living is when Zeus has seemingly spared her no shame or pain) when you know you're going to cause a domino-effect of suicides is just selfish.
Quote from: Haids1987 on February 14, 2012, 10:36:32 AMBaby girl, it happens. Don't feel discouraged! I've been job hunting since mid-December, and suddenly my former boss called me out of the grey the other night and more or less pleaded me to come back and at least close for her.God provides. In the words of Journey, "Don't stop believin'."
Quote from: KatieHal on February 17, 2012, 10:06:11 AMThe BAD: I got laid off from my day job today. The GOOD: I can finally work full-time on Phoenix and Cognition!

Quote from: Deloria on March 05, 2012, 02:02:04 PMThe BAD: My mother is a needy emotional masochist who demands my constant attention and comforting, regardless of where I am or what I'm doing. The BAD: Massive exams and I can't work. The BAD: I was unable to sleep last night and it doesn't look very good for tonight either.
Quote from: snabbott on March 06, 2012, 08:23:08 AMThe EMBARRASSING: I injured myself getting out of the car at work. (I hit my glasses on the car door; they cut the bridge of my nose.)
