I will for sure!

THE ANNOYING: I overslept for the second time this week and was a half hour late for class this morning. ::)

THE GOOD: I'm already finished with most of what we were working anyway, so it's all good.

THE YUM: I have a triple shot, 24-ounce mocha beside me on the desk. :pleased:

The BAD: I'm so high. XD My hearing in my left ear has been completely gone for the last half hour. XD
The GOOD: I'm starting to not feel quite as miserable as I have been all day long. :)
The GOOD: I feel motivated to do Greek! :D Let's butcher Antigone and memorise 200 vocab words! :D
The GOOD: I've picked up on the not so subtle similarities in the stems of lambanw, lagxanw, lanthanw and a few others, so I'm not banging my head against the wall begging for euthanasia just about now like other people in the class are. ::) I feel so very superior. ::)

:highfive:

I was actually sort of into the Oedipus/Antigone thing when we studied it in school--except for the vocab. Stupid Mrs. Lee made us memorize all that crap, and I only remember a select few of those crazy words that barely aided me in my everyday life. >:(

The vocab is pretty much the same as all Greek vocab, apart from the deeply hated merging words (known as crasis) and some verb irregularities. :) The syntax takes some getting used to though because nothing is where it should be because meter ruins everything. :P What sort of vocab did you have to learn?

I like the Oedipus cycle. XD I really do! I just don't particularly like Antigone as a character. All the moaning about how she wants to die and be beloved in the afterlife for her heroic deeds strikes me as very self-absorbed. :P You shouldn't want to be a martyr, it should just be something that happens. XD And brazenly going to your death just because you're too caught up in the pain of your past (she does actually ask what the point of living is when Zeus has seemingly spared her no shame or pain) when you know you're going to cause a domino-effect of suicides is just selfish. :P

lagxano? I don't remember that one...

Hmmm, it's been awhile (8 years) since I studied it, so I don't remember word for word what vocab words we did. (See how well learning all of it served me at sixteen years old? ::)) But from what I remember, it was a lot of Greek literary terms: deus ex machina, hubris/hamartia; etc. I wish I could be more specific, but like I said, relatively useless. :)

True. Greek tragedies are always melodramatic and over the top, though, so I tried not to get too hung up on all the "moaning." :) Though I'm totally with you! I'd think that it would be sacrilege--especially in ancient Greece to risk the fury of the gods--to try and declare one's self a martyr. :P

Interesting stuff, though. I should go back and reread it all and appreciate them as an adult and not a clueless teenager.

Baby girl, it happens. Don't feel discouraged! I've been job hunting since mid-December, and suddenly my former boss called me out of the grey the other night and more or less pleaded me to come back and at least close for her.

Thank you Hailey :)  ;] I'm trying to keep my head up here. It's disheartening for sure but something will turn up eventually.

NOW, I'm going to list the good

The good: I've lost 2 inches and 8 lbs since I've started going to the gym regularly two months ago
The good: Valentine's lunch and presents with Mom
The good: Red velvet cake for desert tonight! YUM!

So, it's not all bad. We got to be thankful for little things also.

Thank you Katie :) I'm sorry you lost your job, but you got things to keep you busy!

The good: Saw my friend at Sonic and had an impromptu 20 minute conversation with her in her car.

Isn't it weird ridiculous how when you're an adult, everyting revolves around your work schedule? >:(  Sleep well, sweet prince!

THE GOOD: I'm listening to "Princess Cassima" (the most beautiful piece of music that Sierra ever put out <3) as I organize files on my computer.

THE GOOD: S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y...night!! ;D

THE RELATIVELY NEGATIVE: It's five to one in the morning, and I'm getting all tired and stupid. I've already caught three typos. ::)

The BAD: My mother is a needy emotional masochist who demands my constant attention and comforting, regardless of where I am or what I'm doing.
The BAD: Massive exams and I can't work. :(
The BAD: I was unable to sleep last night and it doesn't look very good for tonight either. :(

The GOOD: My class is over.
The BAD: Both kids are sick.
The EMBARRASSING: I injured myself getting out of the car at work. (I hit my glasses on the car door; they cut the bridge of my nose.)  :-[

Sorry to hear that you got hurt, Snabbott, but what a weird way to do so! ;D

THE OH SO OBNOXIOUS: You know those cups that you can buy from Starbucks that look like the cups they use for cold drinks, but are reusable? I had one of those (from Java Java, NOT Starbucks) sitting in my car this morning, so when I threw my purse on the passenger's side seat this morning when I got into my car, it snagged the top and snapped the straw in half! Now I have an unusable reusable Java Java cup that cost me $14. >:(

THE ALSO OBNOXIOUS: It's freaking snowing again. C'MON, GREAT SPIRIT! I know that the Native Americans used to ask you for a lot, but hear one more desperate cry from a fellow Northwesterner and make it stop!

THE GOOD: Loops make a bit more sense to me, however. Yaaaaaaaaaaay! :highfive:
