Maybe when GoneTooLong comes back, he can decide on a nickname.

Hopefully he won't be gone too long  ;)

In all seriousness, I vote for 'Gone'
Heard joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says "Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says "But Doctor...I am Pagliacci." Good joke. Everybody laugh. Roll on snare drum. Curtains.

THE REALLY BAD: Kephale more estin deila kai more. (Points! Come on, you can do it; it's Greek.)

The BAD: E Kephale more e me bouletai.

THE BAD: Vir immitis me vulneravit quamquam vultque me adesse et eo omni facere.

Ok...let's see what I can do here... *reads* *nods* Okay, making some allowances for the font (Greek in non-Greek font ::)) I think I got that... so, I see you and raise you:

Kephala mwra agnwreiton ::) kai... eu... mwra eston. Les deux de leur ::) (not sure if I got the form right for eimi... sorry, it's been a long time since I used einai in the dual ;P) (on a related note, I hate this dictionary and want my own that I left at home to be shipped at a later date :'()

The GOOD: The champagne is bubbling at me. :P
The GOOD/BAD: I'm drinking champagne at 1 am and studying. :P

Seriously? Have you learned nothing from me? Though... well, that didn't work out so much as making an intriguing "splat" sound. :P

The GOOD: INTERNET!
The GOOD: beds! and running water! and a shower!
The BAD/kind-of-cool-I-guess: I've been to Purgatory... I must have worked off AT LEAST 14 hours.
The BAD: tired... but getting better...
The GOOD: recuperating
The BAD: right shin hurts :-\ it's been hurting since... Florence... I think...
The BAD/???: how on earth can they not have my transcript and why on earth did they offer me a position without one? ::) Honestly, who throws a shoe...
Noli me tangere! Nescio ubi fuisti!
Don't touch me! I don't know where you've been!

The BAD: In English, German and French, I am reading award-winning books about psychopaths who, among other things, rape children, engage in bestiality, commit suicide and are serial killers. :P Why can't we read normal things?
The BAD: I have no one to keep me company while I mock the horrible literature. :(
The CONFUSING: I may be incredibly thick, but just what is the difference between nihilism and absurdism?

That's an interesting question. I never thought about it before, but the difference is mild. Absurdism is the philosophy that all humans are alone in a world that is irrational. Nihilism rather suggests one to become skeptic of their surroundings. Nihilism suggests that their is no "truth" in the world and their is no "existence". If you saw Inception, then:
Spoiler (mouse over to reveal):

Nihilism attacks the concept of reality, and Absurdism focuses more on isolation in an irrational world, but not necessarily a world that does not exist. I hoped my nonsensical babbling helped.  :P

I'm not sure the word "suffering" should be applied to schools of thought. :P And I was talking more about Nietzschean nihilism, in which there is a lack of objective purpose vs the kind of absurdism that Camus identified with. :) As with all philosophies, they are open to interpretations and have lots of different definitions. :P I'd love to continue this though. :)

Seriously. Multiple choice and True/False are a breeze - once you've done a few, you have the pattern memorized and you can fly through them. Anytime there's a chance of partial credit, though... ugh. And then trying to make sure you're giving partial credit consistently among all of the students... double ugh!  :X

The MORE GOOD: Episode 3! :suffer:

Woah.

Grading comp sci labs, so I have to make sure that they documented everything correctly, look at indentation and spacing and comment on that, and look at their code for any bad or inefficient logic. Could be faster probably but I like to make a lot of comments so they understand what they're doing right/wrong. And /agree with the consistency issue. :P
