What happened to your eye, Enchantermon?
Apparently, I have an abrasion (scratch) on my cornea. Don't really know why, since it's not like I rub my eyes a lot. My theory is that either I rub my eyes a lot in my sleep (which is possible, because I move around in my sleep
a lot, or I'm showing signs of dry eyes like my mom; her eyes get so dry when she sleeps that her eyelids started tearing her corneas when she'd open her eyes in the morning. I really hope the latter isn't happening to me, because the stuff she has to put in her eyes to avoid that is nasty, goopy stuff. However:
THE GOOD: The cornea is one of the parts of the entire human body that is the fastest at healing, so the doc gave me a protective contact lens and some eye drops, and by tomorrow afternoon when I go back to see him, he expects it will be healed. So yay! The contact is a little irritating, but nowhere near as bad as my eyelids hitting the abrasion.
THE EXTRA GOOD: The lens takes the place of the older treatment, which was taping the eye shut with a huge patch of gauze. Not a good look. The contact is much better; you can't even tell I'm wearing it by looking.
