And you have a wife and two beautiful babies, Snabbott. You're good, man!
Well, I didn't even date until I was 32. :o

Now that's what I call efficiency. XD

... I kind of understand now why some parents don't wan their children dating until a certain age.

I think it's a terrible idea to tell your children when they are allowed to have feelings.

Also, en français, "un certain age" means "middle aged". ::) Bad plan.

My first date was when I was 11, and I've probably made some bad decisions as a result of being young and stupid, but I got hurt and I got over it and experience is good. :P

Did you marry your first love? Some one told me that you're lucky if you marry your first love. I really believe that too. Tis why I spent 6 years of my life dating my first love on again / off again.  I had alot of assumptions about love like...I assumed that each partner loved each other equally...but that's not always the case. And I know they say love is blind but I didn't interrupt it to mean things like....the person you love may steadily become a worse and worse person but that doesn't correlate to mean your feelings for them will grow less and less---> I kind of understand now why some parents don't wan their children dating until a certain age.
Well, there were several girls I had major (and unrequited) crushes on before that, but yes, I would say that I married my first true love. :sweetheart:

I was pretty depressed about my "never even had a girlfriend" status prior to meeting my wife, though.

Somehow I think that marrying the first girl you dated at a more mature age is a lot sweeter than dating a guy all four years of high school only for him to come out of the closet six months after breaking up with you.  :P

Last guy I dated, too. Sad business. :(

THE GOOD: Got my research paper done (my first one! :) ) and it didn't take nearly as long to fill up 3-4 pages as I though it would. I hope my professor likes it, and that I cited my sources correctly...

THE BAD: I got a terrible score on my two latest math tests, and am severely disappointed in myself! Plus, I have TSL on my laptop, and I REALLY want to show a friend of mine at college the game (I've already played through all four episodes, and I've explained the storyline of King's Quest to her so as she's not confused about who these people are)... and she has to keep putting it off because her boss keeps making her work at 1:30, which means no Silver Lining for us! This is VERY annoying, because I've gotten her all excited, I already know from playing that the game is great, and I'm sick and tired of carrying that heavy laptop in my backpack for nothing!

MORE BAD: Also, I'm having iPod problems: one of The Silver Lining tracks ("Something Wicked This Way Comes") is out of order in the Album, and is placed at the bottom of the list instead of the top, Nicholas Bolands tracks ("Take Me Over The Sea", "Checkmate!") have for some reason decided to seperate themselves from the rest of the Album and create another (I'm afraid to add both versions of "The Day You Were Gone" for this might happen with those tracks too!), and I can't change any of this in iTunes because I get a message when I click Get Info that says (paraphrased) "This file could not be found, so it cannot be changed." and when I click Locate, nothing happens! Any help would be greatly appreciated! I already posted something about it somewhere on the forum, but I don't remember where and nobody has replied to it!

I was in an on and off relationship with my first love too. I didn't see how much of a jerk he was and he didn't care about anyone else but himself for the most part. It's still a sore spot to say the least. It's not until you're away from the situation and have some prospective that you can see what some things really were.

The good: I had a good time at my interview yesterday. Now the waiting game continues.

THE DEPRESSING: As I wrote the date to take notes for database class just now, I realized that exactly one month from today I will turn 25. :X  :'(  :help:

I turned 25 in Tintern Abbey with Deloria and darthkiwi. :P It softened the blow. ;P (This is an example of understatement, but if you haven't BEEN to Tintern, you might not get that. :P)
TINTERN DAY WAS THE BEST DAY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I realise that most of you may not yet understand why. :P Let me explain.

We woke up in our amazing hotel rooms with our extremely comfy beds and baroque ceilings. :D Then we went and had fabulous breakfasts and were picked up by our tour guide. We were then driven around Cardiff and I got to annoy everyone by pointing out all the pretty pediments and turrets and everything!!!!!!!!!!!! :D We saw Roman ruins and got stuffed pet dragons and went to a very pretty castle ruin with reenactors (this was Delling's castle! :D IT REALLY WAS! PEMBROKE FTW! :D). After that we went to lunch at an adorable place with a menu with things like "Henry VIII's Roast Chicken; cut off its head and sack a few monasteries!" and "Naughty Monk's Baguettes" on the menu. Dessert consisted of Delling's first-ever cream tea! :D For everyone who has not had the pleasure of sampling these, they are warm crumpets with clotted cream, butter and strawberry jam and are beyond decadent. :P We then walked over to the Abbey. The beautiful, fantastic, unbelievable, gothic abbey. My abbey. <3 Mine. <3 We discussed nesting and squatting and never leaving. :P Darthkiwi had to carry me out of it. But the abbey and I will never, ever forget each other. <3 We are bound together for life now. <3 We are in love. <3 We are an item. <3 We belong together. <3 We complete each other and only together are we as beautiful as we could be. <3 My abbey. I tried to incite darthkiwi and Delling to commit abbey-theft, but they refused on very silly grounds. :( We then went to see another castle and I mourned. When we got back to the hotel, I gave everyone Easter bunnies! :D Delling's was nougat and Jamie's was raspberry-vanilla-white chocolate. We watched South Park Easter specials and Robin Hood: Men in Tights and we ordered Chinese take-out and ate triple-chocolate fudge cake. :D

SO yes, Tintern Day was awesome. :P And Delling's birthday has become synonymous with Tintern Day. And every year we will make a pilgrimage to Tintern. :P

Yeah...I went to Texas De Brazil Churrascaria....

The Good: Me best mate sent me a message today saying he's going to come visit me for 2 weeks next month, w00t! I unno, maybe it's cuz I'm not from around here but old friends always seem better than new friends these days. Plus, I'll be able to indulge in all my nerdiness ^_^

The Bad: I have to cancel seeing Titanic 3D tomorrow....cuz I get to work to midnight again, w00t :/

(Posted on: April 12, 2012, 12:52:30 AM)

The Good: I finally got to see the Titanic in 3D

The Bad: I was literally watching the movie while the ship sank :/

The Good: I found a place that sold this!
Oh, how I miss Europe sometimes. How to describe it's Awesominess: Everything you ever tasted < Stiegl Radler lemon. Yea.

Nothing satisfies ya more than a hot day of work in the Florida Sun to come home to a nice cold lemon drink with  2.5% kick, eh?
The Good [2]: Also, I went to shopping today! Yay! Bought a bunch of v-neck shirts and white cargo shorts. The hardest thing for me about living in a place that doesn't snow 10 months a year is adjusting to the fashion scene.

The Bad:
I was emptying out a shopping cart and turned around to put the last of the groceries in and of course the shopping cart CAME TO LIFE and started to roll down and it bumped into a Jaguar. Jaguar owners are very mean. Mean people suck fyi.

You really think you didn't get much personal growth (however slow it took to learn the lessons? I dated my first love 6 different times but I learned my lessons!) But yeah, :/ Sometimes its hard seeing the way things are or recognizing our own self-deceits.

Highlight of my day: I got to eat German food today! Food is too often the highlight of my day :/
Lowlight of my day: I was tricked into a blind date today  :furious:!
Behold the conversation:

Maniacally Evil Woman I work with: Hey! Whatcha doin Monday!?
Minding my own business me: Nothing special.
Maniacally Evil Woman I work with: Oh great! You should come over for dinner! My daughter is in town, I think you two would make such a cute couple. She just got out of a bad relationship. You'd like her, she's blonde, blue eyed, likes thrilling things like roller coasters and skydiving and oh btw, she's bi-polar. (.......... :-\ :whip: )
Minding my own business me: !!! Well, I gotta make sure I can--
*Evil woman calls her daughter on the phone, "It's a date!"

I ***REALLY*** have to learn when some one at work says, "What cha doing on so-and-so day!?" to respond with, "I'm going to be out of town....fishing...."

This is the 3rd woman at work who has done this to me too. Out of all the blind dates I've gone on, Only one did I go out with again and one other time we became awesome friends. I really don't want to go but I don't want to hurt the girl's feeling so...whatever.

I use the word awesome...alot... (mispelled maniacally)
...We must remember that every time the sun sets, it takes a little part of our life with us....

Ugh. That's miserable. People actually assume that if you aren't doing something you'd love to go on a date with someone you don't know? That's kind of rude. -_- You could say you have some things you need to work on or something that allows you to say you're busy but also say you can move it to a different day if it's something you actually want to do. XP

I've been tricked onto dates before, but usually the guy asks me if I want to hang out and then after assuming it's platonic, I end up clearly on a date. :P

The GOOD: An awesome alot
The GOOD: Found a cute knitting project to do in the round with double-pointed needles. I've never done it before and it's working really well.
The GOOD: Deciding to make dice bags for everyone in my DnD group. XD
The BAD: Have a lot to get done this week, including trips to the Smithsonian and weeks and weeks of make-up work. :-\
The GOOD: Have it all scheduled and have a plan.

Oooh, that's harsh. But I'm sorry ladida, but I can't help laughing at your amazing description of the conversation! Why do your work moms think you need to be set up?

THE SORE: I was sitting at the computer desk wondering why it makes my arms tremble when I open my water bottle and I suddenly had a vivid memory of wildly using hedge scissors to cut the mess out of the juniper bushes with my mama yesterday.  The result? My arms are pulsating in muscley soreness today. But at least I got some aggression out! Some of the branches I was slicing and dicing were as thick as my thumbs and HOO boy, it was a workout!

THE GOOD: Midway through the week...I'm ready for this week to just be a terrible memory...

THE PIXELS: I'm getting irritated that Photoshop sometimes decides to not let me edit my layer. How is it that the clone stamp tool works perfectly for a few seconds, then when I look down at my textbook, look back up, and try again, the stamp screams at me, "NO WAY IN WINDOWS 7, HAIDS!" ???

Hm. I unno, maybe a myriad of things. Ive been down somewhat lately so I guess they think setting me up will make me happier. And I guess you could consider me the "male" version of the "girl next door." Mothers find me to have all the qualities in a guy that some one like their daughters deserves. And you know, its nice that so many people want to set me up with all their daughters and nieces or you know the cute beer girl at the golf course but.......has anyone actually asked me what kind of girl I like? NO!!!. I feel like people are setting me up not because they think we would "be great togehter" but more so because they KNOW some one who is single. Or rather I would be a great boost of confidence for them.

I'm much more into quiet people, old souls, readers, grey area minded people instead of black or white minded folk, who don't care what others think and embrace their inner nerds. I totally heart "Kewl type of nerds" ^_^
