And regarding the time per episode, we don't know exactly what will that be, but we are shooting at 1-3 months between episodes. They are all about 90% complete, and we'll release them when we feel they are good enough for you to fully enjoy them.

soo 2  chapters 5 eps each chapter. I know you guys wanna start your own games but you fought so long and worked so hard the story can't end in 2 chapters :(

You'll be getting a full story, The Hero. Also, it's not 5 episodes per chapter--the same material that once made up 2 chapters has been divided up in a new way to instead make 5 episodes. As Cesar said, we added and adjusted the longer storyline to fit it into this package instead, we wanted to make sure that everyone got a complete and satisfying story and game. :)

Your answer can be found in this quote, taken from this thread.

Episode 1 is indeed a shorter episode than the rest, but it's a great episode and it sets the stage for what's to come. I played through episode 2 last week and it's about 3 to 5 hours long, depending on the player. The rest of the episodes also fall in the same category of 3 to 5 hours long. All together, it should be a 12 -15 hours experience, or more, depending on how you play it. I'd say the size is a bit longer than King's Quest 6 altogether.

One big difference between King's Quest 6 and The Silver Lining, however, is that The Silver Lining has about 1 hour of cutscenes spread through the 5 episodes, between the fully rendered and the in-game cutscenes. So, expect a very balanced cinematic experience.
This is Nifty, Royal Heir.

I'm like, an adult now or something? Sounds fake, but okay.

so 3-5 for most eps so dows that mean 1-2 for ep 1

I dunno. It might be more like 2-2 1/2. But yeah, it's apparently shorter.

Yes, the first episode is shorter. It really depends how long it takes you to find a couple things. I believe Waltz' sister had quite a bit of trouble with one thing...

Waltz, did she ever find what she was looking for?? :P

Nope. She had to leave for basic training, still wondering.

I had noticed they were adding new material, but I didn't know why. (See, even the beta testers don't know everything!) Do you think we'll ever get to see the full original script, or are you saving that "just in case"?

The gameplay for episode 1 is similar to the RC1 demo (as was mentioned I don't remember when), but there's a LOT of new material. It raises a lot of questions - I can't wait to see the speculation!

One more question, at the end, will there be a way to join the downloads into one large game? Also a friend of mine on linux is wondering if it can run easy via wine.
