@koko_99_2001 your comment disgusts me you are disrespectful and while you msy not like mj your comments reflect poorly on PO and TSL
keep a level of professonalism

Hero, I apologize you were offended. It was not my intention. I was merely voicing my opinion, as you and others have done in this thread. I know MJ was a pop icon and I know others really enjoyed his music, but I never cared for pop music, no matter who was singing it, whether MJ or someone else. I do feel like I did a good job being professional in my opinion, and I am sorry that you took offense.

Now...what kinds of easter eggs would all of you like to see?

I think MJ was just a seriously misunderstood individual.  It seems to me that he was a very generous individual since he gave a lot of money to charities.  He was unique in his own way and I respect his kindness and generosity.  I think some people took advantage of his kindness and it was really sad.

Hero, I'm reminded of one of my friends on another internet forum named ZylonBane. He has a signature that reads like this: ZylonBane's opinions do not represent those of the management.
The meaning behind it is that everyone has and is entitled to their own opinion. This is especially true on the internet where you're going to run into lots of people whose opinions differ from yours. The question is: How are you going to handle it? I believe the best way is to be civil about it. While you may believe koko's comments were disgusting and disrespectful, there was a better way to confront that, however the way you chose was also disrespectful to her.
That being said, it's true that koko's comment wasn't the most professional. But then again, the forums are rather laid back and informal. Truthfully, both parties could have probably handled this particular situation better.

You have no idea of the can of worms you just opened in my head.
As I mentioned before, I think it would be cool to have a reference to either clouds or cloaks with silver linings. ;) As waltz said, Cedric is a sure win. And I agree that there should be a suffer smilie egg and an "Oh no! It's a shameless plug!" egg.
What would be sweet is an egg like the one with the stump in the original Monkey Island. If you looked at a certain stump, Guybrush would see a hole in it and say something like, "Hey, it looks like there's a series of catacombs down there! I think I can squeeze through..." and then the game asks you to insert a random disk number, like disk 523 or something. If you keep pressing enter, it asks for some more random disk numbers, about two or three more, and then finally the game resumes and Guybrush says, "Well, I guess I'll just have to skip that part of the game." You could do something similar, maybe with Graham trying to enter a small crawlway or something and finding his way blocked by an invisible wall, and then saying, "That's odd. I guess that part was cut when POS condensed the game." I don't know about anyone else, but I would find that hilarious.
It would also be funny if Graham got caught doing something someone didn't like and was told "Cease and desist!" and then he thinks to himself, "Hmm, where have I heard that before..."
:)
So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

Okay guys. While we respect all your opinions and love hearing from you, this is not the place to argue. Take this as a warning, if this thread becomes a problem, we will be forced to take action. This forum is a place where King's Quest fans can come together not bicker about their beliefs. Regarding this topic, there doesn't seem to be a middle ground so be opened minded and respectful to others.

Thanks :)

Hero, can I ask a question? If it is such a serious, hot-button issue for you why would you want it reduced to a silly joke in a game that is utterly unrelated to Michael Jackson?

Opinions about MJ aside, I think putting a tribute into TSL would be kind of tacky. First of all, tributes to MJ have been a dime a dozen since his passing. Secondly, it would seem forced. Any easter egg in the King's Quest series blends in fairly seamlessly or is an inside joke relating to Sierra or adventure games. For instance, the Roberta rap you brought up has to do with Roberta -- yes, it's about rap too but it's about Roberta who made the series, y'know? An MJ tribute would be such a complete non sequiter I don't know that it could be worked in without seeming like an obvious "Look, we're trying to do the hip thing everyone else is doing!"

I'm sure all the Easter Eggs have been worked out by now anyway!

My favourite shall alsways be Hagatha and her Batmobile, cracks me up every time! The ones I never understood were in MoE at the very top of the mountains in Daventry, I think they were wedding photos of some of the game staff but they really confused me when I first saw them and though I had to sole a puzzle.  ::)

The reason you didn't like that easter egg (and neither did most people as I recall) is because it wasn't worked in seamlessly. It stuck out like a sore thumb and that made it cheap, tacky, and dumb instead of funny.
See what I'm saying?
