When I first played the TSL demo (basically Episode 1) a few years ago, seeing the village and crossroads so desolate and depressing was really powerful. I remember that the note on the pawn shoppe - "Closed due to Tragedy" - really hit me hard. It was awesome.

Post yours here!

Great introductory episode!  I have to say for some reason I liked:
Having Graham jump off of the end of the pier.  I just looked at the water and was like...oh...wow...I have to try this.   I was trying to kill him, which sounds sadistic but - it brought back memories of the good old days when he just jumped right in.
I think we all deliberately try to kill the main characters in these games in a variety of ways.  I don't really think it says anything beyond us being passionate about every aspect of adventure games.

For sure, I definitely wouldn't want to be an adventure game character.  Everyone is trying to kill you all the time including the player who is your so-called "friend" and wants to progress in the game.  There is not a darn thing they can do about it either  ;D
I liked the part after the TSL asylum reference, when the wonderful narrator did some self-promotion: I almost began to roll on the floor. ;D Jokes aside I enjoyed every moment, anyway for me the best was probably when Graham looked at the sky just before the dream.
You did an outstanding job guys, as you already said maybe it's too short and guided, but very well done. I'm looking forward to the second episode, keep up the good work!
I'm going ot here, but I was wondering... the graphics is very low quality in close-ups... the torque engine you're using isn't capable of manage more polys and/or bigger texture maps? :gossip:

I liked the intro.
Seeing Shadrack in action and the guard dog trying to stop him was awesome.
Definitely. When Saladin left into action I was totally cheering for him - he's so loyal and awesome.

The ending video was my favorite part, makes me wonder what's gonna happen next.

Gee...

1) The fact that the first thing you do as Graham is take off the formal attire, get back in the adventuring outfit, complete with the lucky hat. You know it's on when you see the hat.

2) A very subtle one, but the moment Rosella reaches the altar, she looks back - not at her parents, but at Alex, who just gives a smile and nod. OK, it's a personal thing. My half-sister and I were the ones walking my twin down the aisle on her wedding day (LONG story).

3) Not so much a moment, but I will certainly have to congratulate your voice actor for Graham. Filling Josh Mandel's boots isn't easy, but he delivered.

I absolutely love the story so far. The intro and the ending scene were awsome. I also love the recreation of  what I have seen of the green isles. And finally the Music is absolutely brilliant. I especially love listening to the lovely piece of music that is played after Graham changes into his adventures outfit.

One of my favorite pieces of music occurs in the courtyard with Oberon and Titania. It's about 3 minutes long, but it's very quiet solo piano, so you have to listen carefully to hear it. It suits the mood of the scene so well.

I have to agree. I liked a lot of the background music, as well as the song in the intro. Can't wait for the soundtrack to be released.

My favorite moment of the kings quest episode was............ ABSOLUTLY EVERYTHING!!! lol, i loved how he jumped into the water! i wasnt expecting that, all of the sound effects and narrations made the realism exact its one of the best kings quests i have played so far it seems like ive been waiting a lifetime to play this game and it was well worth it :),  i loved all of the past refrences to the other games it really took me back into the hours i spent playing through the old kings quest series over and over.

I hope the continuing episodes will follow the majestry of this one however hopefully they will last longer, tho I probably rushed through this one expecting alot more to be in it, but it was very well put together

I gotta admit. That was a pretty epic moment. When I saw that part, Lord of the Rings music started playing in the background. No lies!  ;D

I like the crazy glitch you can pull off when you get to the Isle of the Sacred Mountain.  It cracks me up to see King Graham RISING FROM THE SEA.

Can you elaborate on this glitch? I've never heard of it.

I'm not sure if it only works on my system, or if it's a universal one, but I accessed it with these steps:

- Play the game through until you've paid the ferryman and are on the boat.  When you arrive at the Isle of the Sacred Mountain, DO NOT GET OUT OF THE BOAT.  Instead, save and quit the game.
- Reload the game.  Graham will be stuck in the boat.  Click anywhere on the land.
- The camera will judder over to the right and you will see Graham WALKING OUT OF THE SEA.

I liked when Graham...
...tried to touch the tree near the ferry and the narrator said: "Leave the tree alone! It could belong to a samurai, or a ninja! And he'll cut you in pices like WATATATATAWAHAHA!!!!"  ;D
