I must start my feedback by offering sincere congratulations to the entire Phoenix Online Studios team, and a sincere thank you to everyone behind the campaign to "Save TSL" as well as Activision for seeing the light.

Yes, this first episode is much too short and requires very little cognitive effort.  However, once I read the explanation behind it (http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=8733.0) I decided that the real problem is that I'm just not patient enough for the next Episode.

Overall the game has the level of charm, intrigue, and quality you would expect from a classic Sierra-style adventure game.  I really loved the way the camera pans around things you look at in your environment and how it moves along with Graham as he's walking rather than moving from one static screen to another.  The music and storm ambience were very enjoyable and the plot pulls the player into the story very quickly and just begs to be played out.

If I were to offer constructive feedback it would be with the game's narration.  Though I enjoy Amy's voice and find it fits well with the game, her lines often drag on much too long, slowing the pace down.  The writing comes off tedious when attempting to be witty.

I would highly recommend this game to anyone and look forward to the next episodes as well as the next game from Phoenix Online Studios.  It's clearly evident to me that The Silver Lining is a labour of love and that the team behind it are fully committed to the same level of excellence that made Sierra the industry leader in adventure gaming.  Let's hope Activision is taking note of all the free publicity their intellectual property is receiving ;)

It's noteworthy here that you can skip any line being spoken by clicking.

Not a chance.  You have to listen to the whole thing in case there is important information or a clue somewhere in the narration.

well, you can always show subtitles and click futher once you are done reading even though Amy might not be finished yet. even more, you can play without narrator altogether. Though I would not recommend but that is because I like amy's commentary  :)
