Fantastic to see Kings Quest back !!!!!
« on: July 13, 2010, 02:43:46 AM »
just chanced across a notice about this game on gamespy. Fantastic to see the series back - I have all KingsQuests 1 through 7, but haven't been able to play for sooo long (always have probs with DOS Box).  Wouldn't it be good to have them all updated & re-released ?! interesting games, no violence. Just have to find a mechanism to replace the pixel-hunt when searching for needles in haystacks, etc etc.

And if you consider that,  what about the Goblins (/Gobliiins) series too, and Rincewind et al......  Would be so fantastic to replay those, (esp without all the DOS memory issues etc).

AHH yes! and then all it would need would be for Nintendo to release a (full) version of Super Mario World 4 for PCs...  total heaven. (and this from someone who plays UT3 FarCry/2 Assasins Creed etc)(& replays Deus Ex) There are some games, even early games, that were so enjoyable, that modern games, with all their incredibly wonderful graphics, just can't beat, y'know ?!

Well, i'd best download the game now and see how it feels...  woohoo!!

Just a quick note about Dosbox: There is a new version out that has given me absolutely zero trouble so far, and I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. The previous version of Dosbox gave me so much trouble I couldn't even play KQ6. You may want to download the newest and greatest version if you haven't already.

And now back on topic: I'm glad you liked it! The entire team worked hard on it! And we're currently working on episode 2!
