I still havent played tsl.

Why?
because all my computers are terrible for one.  the game would be really glitchy.  I am about to get a new computer so I am waiting till then to get the full experience.  also if it is near episode 2 by then I might, as b'rrr said, comma, just play them together even if I have to wait a bit longer.

At a conference in Atlanta, so I'll probably not be around as much the next few days. Even when I have time, my internet here is rather slow. :P

Haids1987

Sad day.  We'll miss you!  Is it at least an interesting conference?

Somewhat. It's the Grace Hopper conference, for women in computing sciences. Wake Forest gave me money to come, so I was like, don't know much about it, but sure! :P

Haids1987

Oooooh, that sounds empowering!  Have fun!

I think a couple of my friends are going to that... and now I'm creeped out by the small world effect again... ...

Pretty fun... got back last night.  Gave me a lot to think about, and I've pretty much decided that I don't want to go for a PhD or go into academia. Just get my masters and then go into industry.

For one, it sounds like a whole lot of work and stress, and I think by the time I'm done with my masters I'll have had enough of school. And I'm really not all that interested in doing research or teaching.

Haids1987

Yeah, that sounds about right.  Another few years of school one could do without.  What is your ultimate career goal?

Not really sure, which is why I'm in grad school. :P Have yet to decide what area of Comp Sci I'm really interested in. Not even really sure that I want to have a real career; getting married and being a stay at home mom with maybe a part time working from home type of job sounds pretty good to me (after working at a full-time job for a couple years to pay down my student loans) But then maybe when I get a full-time job I'll really like it and not want to leave. So no idea, basically. :P
