Hello, my name is Mithrot. As you can see, I'm new here, so I'm not sure if a topic like this is supposed to be here, but looking around it seems like its the best spot (I apologize if its not).

Recently I just finished Episode 1 and was new to the series, but I really enjoyed it. I then noticed afterwards that the icon for the game was quite ugly at my native resolution, so with the help of photoshop, I made my own icon.

You can find the link for the .ico file right here. It goes directly to Deviantart, so don't worry.

Yes, I know! Shameless self promotion!

::)

All credit goes to Pheonix Online and the author of that picture which I used to make it. It was my first time making an icon so its pretty ugly, but its a nice placeholder until we can (hopefully!) get a fancy, official one.

Enjoy.

P.S I used Graham because he looks so damn dashing in that outfit, no?

I'm actually going to move this over to Fan Feedback... as it sounds more like a suggestion for the development team rather than a discussion topic.

I had a feeling from the emptiness in this thread, that my old one was just too ugly. :P

So I improved it. Sort of.

Well, I had a better one, but no matter what I did, I couldn't get proper transparency on the background so I used this instead. Nevertheless, its good enough to use compared to the default.

Grab it here. Cheers.

Heh, has nothing to do with that, or well, not for me at least, I think the icon looks pretty good. Just that I am never that bothered about icons in general  ;)

I think it looks cool, there's just no point in me modifying the icon as it would just replace itself the next time I updated the game anyway.  I'll probably take it later though.

Okay, okay! I promise this will hopefully be my last edit of it. I added in an optional border for those who didn't like the "square"-ness of the last one. I think it ties nicely to the game's style (As far as I can understand the game).

My only regret is that I wish the background didn't look so stretched. :(

I see what you mean. Its just that I use a dock for my games, so the custom dock icon's don't change if the next episode re-instates the old one on the desktop because a dock doesn't rely on the game's exe.

Thanks, I guess I'm just the kind of guy who likes pretty icons. It helps give me the incentive to play the game again when I see it.

Anyways, cheers.

Mithrot - When I was making TSL wallpapers a few weeks ago, I found a resource that proved to be extremely helpful.

The guys at Phoenix Online have set up a Press Room with concept art, screenshots, and a high-resolution version of the TSL logo in .png format that even has transparency around the edges.

Haha, oh wow. You mean I didn't have to take the picture from the game and manually cut each part out and rearrange it, using filters and effects to hide the job? :P

Thanks, I might have one more go at it, but only when I learned how to use transparency on an icon. No matter what program I use, the icon always has this ugly, visible border around it. :(

Yup, I spent a good amount of time trying to isolate a nice TSL logo until I found that.

Good luck on your project.

The Exiled One

They should use that icon for the Silver Lining when it shows up in the Game Explorer folder for Windows Vista and Windows 7 users.
