Pets...

Hi folks! I’ve been meaning to post a “just for fun” thread about pets. How’s got them? what are they like? What did you name them? And NO the bears in the contest don’t count!

Anyway that was in the back of my head (the oddest things tend to stay back there) and then my girlfriend emailed me this link: http://www.sony.net/Products/aibo/.  It’s for Sony’s new robot dog toy… or as she put it iPuppy… For an apartment dweller who can’t have a dog I’m in love but $1700 US is steep… or perhaps insane… anyway let’s talk pets… or robotic pets if people like…

I HAVE A PLAYDOH PET!! lol he is a green cloud with a thing like a halo and his name is fluffy and I did it when I was super uber stressed with thesis and I freaking lub him and hes super cute and and and... I think I crushed him the other day cuz he's on my desk and lol, I think I threw some cd's at him and I didnt notice hahaha

In case you wonder, I have a stress ball and some playdoh crap, so when Im stressed either I squeeze my ball... lol that sounds too funny, or I play with playdoh... lol now that sounds a bit kiddie like

BUT FLUFFY WAS ALL UBER CUTE AND FUN AND STUFF... and he was $0 with no mantainance whatsoever he's just smiling at me ALL THE TIME! OMGOMGOMG lol

I have a ginger and white cat called Herman.  He's nearly 6 years old, is grumpy as sin towards me, and has a naked bit all the way around the middle of his tail.

I actually want all pets (people excluded I guess). Though I lust after a robot dog for reasons I can’t properly articulate, I have a seven year old coi (READ: really big goldfish) named Hamlet.

Hamy used to live with Rosencrantz and Guildenstern but he ate them… I’m not kidding. Then again I should have seen that coming. Hamy is a mean SOB, but he’s my SOB so I guess I love him… I’ll encourage discussions of all pets, real, artificial, and imagined

i had a budgie named Tweety , she was really tame used to kiss ur face and and hit the beel that you pointed to , she also used to bop up and down to the rythm of a song

But she passed away , heart attack supposedly , only 6 years old

Our fishes don't have names, we have a coi-type fish too though, but he doesn't eat other fish (at least not that we can see).
We also have a two-color cat, many years old (but don't know how many), five chickens, and that's about it at the moment.
