Hi everyone,

I'm the one who created the group on DA(I'm aerismog there) and I'd like to first thank Rider Jetfire for posting about it here.

Second i'd like to thank anyone who's already joined. And keep an eye out, I've left messages on many King's Quest works on DA asking them to submit them to the group, so just wait, hopefully well get more lovely fanart for the group. Although I have made a ton of faves within the group as well.

Third, expect lots of fun things from the group, that may include but is certainly not limited to contests, sketch jams, discussions, and exciting news.

So, thank you for your time everyone, and thank you so very much to those of you who have joined/want to and will join ^_^

Yeah, that's pretty funny. When I replayed 5 recently I could think about that for the first time. :P

It never actually occurred to me when I was playing KQV. I would love to see more of these KQ comics.

:D :D

Oh! And assuming same username, you're the one that made the Alexander/Rosella portrait! I remember that one well since A. It's an awesome pic! :D and B. One of the comments mentions Alexander playing jokes on Rosella when they were kids and getting in trouble and I'm just like if only that could have been... :(

Yeah- I'm Arkillian everywhere if I can XD I don't like changing identities. Makes it easier for me and my friends to keep track :) Besides- the likelyhood of it not being available is low (if it were for MIB with the Arqualians or what ever they are >.> ). I drew that Alexander / Rosella piece 6 years ago now XD It's SO OLD XD It's kinda weird to still get comments on it ^^; Lol. I also have a pic of Alexander that I just did. I'm not really that happy with how it turned out though :/ I had no references when I did most of it and there's not much official art of his adventuring outfit ^^;

Yeah- the story would've been very different had Alexander not been kidnapped, but that's drama, eh? I love a bit of tragedy though. Give characters some interesting depth :D

Same here with Tessspoon, made it up when I was 12 and been using it everywhere since.

For no references looks pretty darn good to me! :D Hope to see a TSL version :D

True that. The whole history in KQ3 is really more of the reason that I'm so interested in the character than KQ6 is.

Hmm... no kidnapping, might not have learned magic and been able to defeat dragon, Graham might never have gotten his heart attack (assuming part of the cause was the shock of his return) even if they had still managed to defeat it which means Rosella may never have gone to Tamir and met and rescued Edgar, family wouldn't have gotten kidnapped by Manannan and Cassima wouldn't have been rescued, which means he would never have gone to Green Isles, and since Rosella never rescued Edgar she wouldn't have been kidnapped by him in KQ7 and gone on to rescue that whole realm. KQ8... guess that would have still happened from the little I know of the storyline. :P

Arkillian

Oh- don't worry. There most DEFINITELY will be a TSL version <3 I love his outfit in it ^^ I wanted to do a TSL one for that last pic but there was no internet where I was >.>

And man- that's alot of plot that may not have happened if KQ3 didn't happen. That really makes TSL a stronger storyline when you think about it O.O

tessspoon

Cools :) I do to, and his hair. A lot people don't like his hair because it looks so modern, but I love it. ^_^ So much better.

Arkillian

I love it because it's modern :) I'm a passionate follower of fantasy /medieval fantasy, and to me, it's the genre I love. I'm not going to be fashion nazi over period clothing cause really- what period IS King's Quest? There's not concrete evidence that it MUST be the Arthurian period, or any other period. Who says Alexander can't have cool spikey hair? I think it looks dashing on him ^^ The slicked back hair looks sweet and polite, but the new do has a bit of life to it.

I think putting facial hair on him would be a mistake though. Modernizing him is fine to me though. I often do it with the characters in my Medieval Fantasy story 'Dragon Twins'

tessspoon

Not to mention all the other anachronisms in the series. :P

Well, I started writing it a million years ago when I was 12- back then it was a story of a teenager from earth going to another universe and saving a princess from a dragon, and finding out that the dragon was his long lost twin brother with a spell on him.

Since then, it's meta-morphed into a story of a family of guardians called the Arkillian Dragons, who all have control over a field of magic. They battle to defend their country from invading worlds. Essentially, There's a prophecy about a light and dark dragon that would put an end to evil forever, but that all screwed up, and a god intervened. The story is about their quest to discover the full meaning behind the prophecy and bring it to fruition. The Final Sunset is kind of a prequel that I did, but it's a few years old now and has alot of errors cause I was still new to comic making, and I went about it wrong (I work full time and was working till 3am on it >.> Not good). My character Bryan is very much like Prince Alexander actually... That's purely unintentional! It just worked better that way for the story. Bryan spent his childhood in the castle being shunned by his Grandfather cause he didn't want to admit that he was his grandson, and then his world collapsed around him and his world was destroyed by evil. He's given a second chance to pick up the pieces of his country in Dragon Twins. Bryan is very loyal to his country, but he doesn't have the same respect for the royal family cause it's morally corrupt in someways in my story. I could go on for HOURS about Dragon twins. IT's too big of a world D:

I reckon Dragon Twins COULD be a game like Kings Quest. Kings Quest has heavily influenced my love for medieval fantasy actually.  I have alot of elements in the story I could use, creatures, pasts, prophecies, drama, evil organisations... Dragon Twins is a darker story though. Someday it'll make it into a novel format >.>

Wait a minute...

*searches DA some*

Knew that sounded familiar! I've actually read a summary before, in a comment on the Master of Shadows Alexander wallpaper on DA. (I'm not a stalker, I swear :sweating:) XD

Never looked into it before but I think now I shall have to at some point
