If we did that, it should not have to be triggered by typing XP because that would mean we could not talk about (Windows) XP again (not even to bash it) unless we'd type X P. :-X

Oh, I thought I replied in this thread.  I guess the post got screwed up.  Yeah, as copycat said, if we added an XP smiley, it wouldn't be triggered by the letters "XP", because of all the confusion.

In this case, it might not be so bad  ;)

Anyway, the only teacher who could haunt me was the one I had for ICT in secundary school, and one I had for ICT in college. (Hmm, twice ICT? ;P )

lol, all my ICT teachers (and I have like 14 or so) haunt me!! ; ( ...so it isn't a coincidence ; ) ...as a matter of fact all my teachers haunt me <sigh> ; )

hmmm... should I go back on topic?? ....difficult decision ; ) ...but since I'm in a good mood....

King's Quest and XP had better mix, cos I'd like to play the games on something other than my laptop ;)

Well, you could always add an extra partition and have it hidden from XP using a third party program.  Then you could install 98SE on this hidden partition and run the full King's Quest suite with ease.  Long live the 9x code that is based on the ancient but mighty MS-DOS.   :D

racx_00

if they are on seperate partitions then you dont need the third party program ;B

I don't think an OS will borrow files from another OS if it's on another partition. But then again, M$ Me is crap

Someone can just start a new topic with the funniest quotes of the day.  Even if it is rare to have operating systems borrow files from one another it can happen according to the experts in the windows newsgroup.  That is why it makes sense to have the partitions hidden from one another.

Redirect:  So how many users out there have gotten the King's Quest series to work with the XP monster? LOL    ;D

The AGI ones worked fine. As for the others - I'm afraid to try :o

MoE doesn't work on XP, so I think it's safe to say all the other ones don't either (without the use of compatibility mode or DOS emulators, that is).  :)

Thanks, Yonkey.
Fortunately, there's still life left in 98, 98SE, and yuk ME.  Support expires on 30 June 2006 --- support on-line until at least 30 June 2007
