Too Many Teeth in Lipsync

I was very impressed with the first chapter of The Silver Lining. However, one thing made me wince every time I saw it:

It seems like some of the lipsync (mostly during words like "our") during Graham's closeups are overemphasized to the point where he just looks unnatural and ridiculous. The big problem is that Graham is showing too many teeth. Try making sounds like "our" with your own mouth and you'll see that while your mouth is shaped very tall like Graham's, your lips are covering most, if not all, of your teeth. If the picture above didn't show his teeth, it would look much better and more natural.

I don't know how much control the team has over lipsync, but I'd really be obliged it if future chapters would make Graham show less teeth when he makes certain lip motions. I assume that eventually a version 1.1 of Chapter 1 will come out to fix any bugs and such, and I would also hope that this would be fixed too.

Not only that, but when you show so much of the teeth, then they are revealed quite obviously to not be teeth.
So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

It's been pointed out before, so I think it's a known issue. :)

Enchantermon

It's computer specific? Forgive my skepticism, but that seems quite unlikely...has the source of the problem been pinned down?

Well, I didn't notice it, thought it was something obvious. But maybe it is happening and I'm just not realizing it.

Enchantermon

Well, it is pretty obvious. I'm not saying that it isn't computer-specific; I suppose it could be related to the graphics cards. It's just that it seems a little unlikely...I wouldn't think different graphics cards would render the animations differently.

It might have something to do with resolution or some other setting, I've never seen this on either of my systems.

Interesting...I may have to experiment with this a little bit.

I noticed a little bit when I was playing it, but the talking goes by fast enough that it doesn't become really annoying. Besides, it kind of adds to the art style, in a funny Looney Toons sort of way.

But the art style isn't supposed to be Looney Toonish. It's supposed to be more serious (as is the entire tone of the first chapter).

That's just how the teeth look. The story is still serious and the dialogue is serious, but the teeth are funny looking. But like I said, if you just focus on what the character says, you hardly notice it.

I saw this running on a MacBook (dual-booting Windows XP) using an nVidia 9200M graphics card and a resolution of 1280x800. The photo above was actually taken from this YouTube video in which you can clearly see it at certain points.

I'm pretty sure this isn't a bug or individual computer thing. I couldn't speak to why it happens, not being involved with that side of things on the project (ie, art & programming!), but I'm fairly certain it's a global thing.

I think I should also add that I only really noticed this with Graham (and possibly Oberon and the archdruid at the end, but I can't remember for sure). You'll noticed that the Winged Ones Graham talks to in the YouTube video I linked to don't have the problem. In fact, the queen's lipsync is perfect. I guess that's unfortunate that the main character seems to be the only one with problems, but at least that hopefully means less work to fix it.

I noticed Titania's lipsyncing was perfect as well. I've only really noticed it with Graham.

Holy s***!  He looks like a friggin' blowup doll!   :suffer:

I noticed this during my playthrough, too, but I had forgotten about it.  Now that I've seen that picture though, I won't be able to think of anything else during every dialog scene.  Hahahaha.

It seems like Graham has a special lipsyncing mode that no other character has. It would be better if he just lipsynced like the other characters.

I just realized: Graham's looks a bit like a chimpanzee/ape in that picture.
