honestly, if anyone really cared about that stuff, (legal music distribution) I would be effing DEAD by now.  Like, they would torture me for years and then hang me.

You wouldn't be the only one. Legal music distribution had to be defined by the courts before anything was set in stone. While that was going on, people were burning albums and giving the copies away for free. Napster was also the core network for music-lovers at the time. Even now, when everything has been said and done, the courts would be too afraid to even try the mass amount of citizens who have committed illegal music distribution. It's the reason why people don't take it seriously. 

I actually just purchased Beethoven's complete symphonies - great stuff.

iTunes. It was a great price, around $8. I can PM you a link or a zip file (not sure about the legality, but I think it's OK).

I'm not sure about the legality either, as I've never read the "terms and services" on iTunes. However, I'd appreciate whatever you can do.
