Hey all,

We are looking for any printed magazines out there that mention The Silver Lining. If you come across anything that has a mention of the game on them, please let us know.

What's more, if you send us a copy of any magazine, we can negotiate an early release copy of Episode 2. Please, get in touch with us before buying the magazines!

Thank you!
Cesar

*notices that Cez didn't specify that the magazine you send has to be the one with TSL on it*  ::) :suffer:

Does that mean episode 2 is still a fair distance away from release? After all, if it were to come out between now and, say, 2 weeks there wouldn't be much incentive for people to mail stuff across the globe. (if their motivation was an early sneak peek)

We're still aiming for 1-3 months between episodes, but we haven't announced a release date yet. And actually today is exactly 1 month since Episode 1 (wow, is that it? it feels so much longer!)!

I imagine this plea of sorts will continue on for a while, though, so we can apply the early download to whatever episode happens to be coming next as appropriate to when we get whatever magazines are found and sent.

The Italian magazine "The Games Machine" (ok, its name is English, but it is Italian) August 2010, no. 263 has a middle page stripe (article) about The Silver Lining, page 21.

Here it is, scanned:

Its cover:

Their website:
http://www.tgmonline.it

(August is a holiday month in Italy, just to be advised).

"The Silver Lining has a present (not as a gift but like in "past present future", it means that it's real)"

The article talks about distribution rights, then it says that it was written two days before July 10th, so they weren't able to get TSL in time for a review and suggest readers to just browse to your website and see if it was been released.
:)

Oh good! We'd done an interview with someone there, but he's since left and I wasn't sure if we'd still be in the print edition or not. :)

In issue 96 of Games TM (may 13th) there is an article that was written called,

"Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow:  Looking back at the aborted fan project, King's Quest IX: Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining."

On June 28th they followed up with an article http://www.gamestm.co.uk/discuss/kings-quest-fan-sequel-the-silver-lining-revived-as-five-part-episodic-series/ discussing the revival of TSL.  I am working on finding a hard copy of the magazine.  The best so far is one on ebay that would end in about 3 or 4 days.  It is listed at 99cents with $4 shipping.  You guys could buy it and leave out the middle man or if needs be I could buy it if you really want to get a hold of magazines.

The link to ebay is:

I didn't know how much I really enjoyed the Sierra Adventure Games until I played them all over again 15 years later.

That one we actually have a few hard copies of already, but thanks for pointing it out to us! :) Petter, our lead programmer, was able to buy a few and send to other team members (myself included).
