Rosedragon

Hmm, my dad mentioned doing something like that. I'll read up on our PC books and see what info I can get. Thnaks for the advice.

I can't even begin to count the times I had to re-install windows ):c ):c ):c
Right now I've got windows '98 and have no intention of switching to XP (unless, of course, if KQ9 requires it ;D ).

Even if your computer is of a good brand, that doesn't mean it will have less problems... my current computer has all the "names" and still, it spent almost as much time at the shop at it did in my place, and even then they couldn't get the CD-burner to work properly ):c ):c ):c
Right now, whenever I put it on, I have too stick a screwdriver into the back fan, and start it turning manually (like an old airplane). I'm too lazy and too broke to get that fixed :P

Just goes to show you can't trust anything in this life :-X

I must have one of THE worst computers EVER.

TWICE, it has randomly moved system files so that it can't start up.  The sound only works when it wants to, and the scanner doesn't like running with other applications.  Also, the mouse is kinda screwed, and if you save a picture off of the Internet, it only saves as a bitmap.  Oh, and the Internet now goes to some dumb CommonName thing instead of most websites.  That's about it.

Guess what? I just found out now my M$ Internet Explorer has managed to remove Outlook Express from its default e-mail program list and I have no clue as how to get it back. It would seem another re-install is due soon, but if it could just hold out a little more, until I manage to get an up-to-date price-list from a possible supplier for my next pc, since my CD-burner is also having small problems concerning Packet-Writing. It still does normal CD-R's though. 8) Other than that and a bogus CD-player (can't keep a constant speed), everything is still working relatively as it should/could be. :D
