Why didn't you just re-upload the updated Episode I separately? The download wouldn't be as big then for those who don't want to re-download Episode I again.

That would defeat the whole purpose of having a smaller download.  If we uploaded an updated version of Episode 1 people would still have to re-download that whole Episode plus the download for Episode 2.  Now that Episode 2 is out, we won't have just Episode 1 available any more.  When Episode 3 comes out, we'll have a link to download all three episodes at once, or one for just 3 plus updates.  There won't really be a need to have every single episode constantly being uploaded and modified.  That takes a lot of bandwidth and more storage space on our mirrors.

We are also looking into having an episode 2 only build, (that will update the necessary episode 1 files), but right now, this build is the one that's gotten the most QA time on it, and therefore, the one we feel more comfortable with.

Yeah we will have this, but there's really no point in leaving Episode 1 sitting all by itself out there anywhere now that we have 2 episodes finished.

I think I can beat EVERYONE'S download time here: 6 hours and six minutes. This is my college ethernet in a nutshell. The time keeps fluctuating too. I'll be downloading well into the wee hours of the morning probably...

Yeah, I've always believed, deep down inside, that the time remaining indicator was created solely to screw with me.  My download is saying 2 hours and 20 minutes now, but then jumped up to 3+ hours, then jumped back down.  And that's why I just ignore it.  Most of the...

That happened to me as well. Try using a different browser. Firefox worked for me.

So, you're going to leave the old outdated Episode I download there? Taking up space? It just seems odd to me because any other gaming website would normally just update the older downloads instead of having confusing bundles everywhere...I'm still not following the logic in this.

I think i found a problem trying to download this game under Mozilla Firefox using flashgot it is to slow says it will be about another 12 hours to download.
So i had to quit the download use internet explorer to be able to use flashget now it is more like it only 45 minutes.
Just thought you like to know about this and wondering if anybody else had this problem.
Hope this slow time is fixed for episode 3 because i like using Mozilla Firefox instead of internet explorer.
