How did you find out about TSL?

Just curious, as always.

As for myself, I was browsing Wikipedia about the KQ series and found it by article jumping.

(That same night, I found out there was a demo, downloaded it, played it, and was so completely amazed I stayed up until midmorning.)

Googled "Kings Quest 9" back when I was young.

Wish I could remember, it seems so long ago... I think I may have discovered it twice actually, once when I was first looking into the KQ series a little bit and didn't know much about them, because I remember the really old white/purple site, but I also remember discovering it again a while later once I was much more into the games, and registering on the red forums. :P

I actually read it in a magazine I think quite some time ago. I want to say it was either 2002 or 2003. I remember the article was about the AGDI remake of KQ1, and they had a very brief mention of a KQIX at the end. I think the magazine was Computer Games Magazine. I've tried looking through my collection of magazines, but I can't find it anywhere.

I know I first learned about TSL during the white website phase. I didn't join the forums until the blue phase. Wow, I'm referring to the different incarnations of the site in color form... My job really HAS made me think of everything at the most basic possible level... But yes, I learned about TSL quite a long time ago. It's really been that long?

I'm pretty sure I found this site ages ago when I was looking for KQ fangames. I'm pretty sure I registered on the forums as Rosella500 too, but a while ago there was a large wipe of all accounts that had been there for years and never posted once, so that's gone.

I came back and stayed after CC posted that he was leaving the official Sierra forums for this KQIX thing. I kinda stalked him over here. XD

Both of those times, the website was in the light blue phase, I think. :P

I'm jealous of you veterans. I lurked for one year until the second C&D, then became a member.

Kindofdoon is to TSL veterans as US is to Europe, I believe.

...That said, I'm still not sure. :P

Forget what they're called, but basically it's saying kindofdoon is young compared to the older forumers like the united states is young compared to Europe.

There used to be a lot of them on the SAT. (I think they got rid of them when they redid the SAT's? Might have been something else)

Thank you for simplifying that for me.

Yeah, you've been around for a while too, rosella. I remember you were here when I first registered. Whether you were around when I first heard about TSL I can't remember back that far in detail... I was young then lol. Like, 12 or 13 lol. I'm 19 now... Wow, my adolesence was spent on this forum... is that good or bad?

(It's called an analogy.)

See, I told you I was dumb! I so should have known that! I know what an analogy is by the way... To a degree... College is making me second guess myself now. Cue the mental breakdown. And the twilight zone music...

What's your major/minor?

Web Design and Interactive Media. But we can discuss that elsewhere. This thread is not for such discussion. Let's focus on how everyone came to find out about TSL.

Big C from Cauney island

It was back in 2005 I believe.  I think I typed in Kings quest 9 by random, and how could I have known this would pop up...

Melook

It was today. I was bored, I noticied my King's Quest: Mask of Eternity CD Typed in King's Quest 8 in google and with various link jumps I found this site. I found it 5 minutes before the release of Episode 2.

The timing of that is still just, wow XD.

Melook

I know. That happening is so funny considering that when I find a game the peaks my interest I usually have to wait a couple years for it to release.

I still can't get over that. I mean that is just... Uncanny. I'd give you a guiness world record if I could for that.

Hahaha. A guiness world record for that would be awesome.
