It's interesting how the parts some people complain the most about ("excessive" dialogue) turn out to be other people's favorite parts. :)

Lemme tell ya - nothing like a sea nymph with four mouths!

It also made me laugh listening to the background noises in the garden on the Isle of Wonder.  A steaming teapot combined with a squeaky toy, a banjo, a cow, and animal grunts?  I stood there until I heard them all!

I loved the sound there too; very interesting and well-mixed.

Listening to the guard dogs was a LOT of fun, and the dialogue and sound effects blew me away, but my favorite part of Episode 2 was really very simple: when King Graham sits in the (Roberta's) chair, part of his movement loop makes him look straight out the fourth wall, and his eyes are tweaked just so he's making eye contact.

Maybe it's sad, but that was the chilliest/most unexpectedly thrilling part of ep. 2 for me.
...and then wash your mouth out with soap.

Haids1987

Haha!  That's not sad, that's awesome!  ;)

I haven't finished this episode yet but I have to say my favorite moment is this:
When Graham asks the Black Widow, "What can you tell me about... voodoo?"
I nearly fell over laughing! :)

Haids1987

Oh, is that a reference from another game?  I didn't get that joke! ;]

Oh.  I don't think I've ever played that one before.  Thanks, Tess. :)

Great game. You can ask that of most of the other characters in the game, so you hear it a lot, and they way the actor says is just awesome XD

Cez

Funny part is that that wasn't even planned! Jason just did it in his recording sessions and when I heard it, I loved it so much I had to include it!!

Wow - I always assumed that was you, Cez, with how much you love GK. We really need to have outtakes for the director's cut! :D

I added the narration that follows later, but because of Jason's line.

Now, the one from the bookshop was on the original script. I only had one reference! :)

I liked:
Everything about the Golden Key: the vines guarding it, the trap, and what you had to do to get it.
I hated:
Waiting for each clam to yawn to see which one had a pearl. Then clicking on each one in case that made a difference.
"If your translation is correct, that was 'May a sleepy hippopotamus lie down on your house keys,' but you're not sure. Unfortunately, your fluency in griffin-speak is too low."

No no no. You misunderstood me:
I think it was in King's Quest VI where there was a pearl in a clam. I just assumed that there would be something similar in this game. I guess the sleeping clams were just there to decorate the landscape. But of course as a player who tries to click on everything to find items, I assumed the clams had something in their mouths.
