  I take deep offense to you stealing my year. I'm fairly certain my birth was the only awesome event worth noting in all of 1987.

Au contraire, atec.  I think in actuality it was: YOU appeared and suddenly Doon had a lot of posts.  He caught up to you in your absence.

I joined immediately after the second C&D (although I could have sworn I had registered before that), and if the numbers are to be believed, he joined a little before me.

I had been lurking for a couple months before the second C&D. I joined once the second C&D hit but didn't get into the habit of regular posting until July 10 date was announced.

I remember thinking how formidable 500 posts seemed...haha.

Just a note to Doon here:

I need you to listen to me VERY closely.

I cannot take you seriously with your Homestar Runner Avatar. I can't help but to read your posts with Homestar's voice... and well, even when you are being serious in your threads, I find myself chuckling because of the voice in my head.  

If you ever need to make a serious announcement: you may want to temporarily censor homestar... otherwise, it'll just be HILARIOUS to me!

I was actually thinking the same thing. Whenever I look at him, he's just so profoundly funny that I giggle on the inside.

I mean, he's the Homestar Runner! He's a terrific athlete! How can you not laugh?
