Sorry guys, the time for guessing is over... GunHoMac was right on the money. I even found the screenshot:

"Never argue with idiots. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."

Akril

Yep, GHM is correct. I didn't want to go to the trouble to take a screenshot. I've had enough trouble just getting RAMA to run.

That big green thing is a trash biot, basically a big, fancy garbage receptacle.

Hmm, the screen certainly LOOKS similar, LN, but I dunno...I don't see that inset circle in the screenshot from GHM!

Granted, I have no idea either.

I have a screenshot but how do I make it all funky and put it on the post ???

Making it funky:

Any image program other than Paint is likely to have a bunch of "filters" or "effects" available somewhere its menus that can be used to distort an image. Worse comes to worse, you can just "blur" it.

If you need a program, Irfanview is a free one for Windows. Go to Image -> Effects in the menus and play around.

Putting it in a post:

At the bottom of the Post Reply screen is a field that says "Attach". Click the "choose" button, browse to the file from the menu that pops up, and hit "Open". Then when you click "Post" it will upload the file to your post.

Well i have got that but I forget how to get a screen shot while playing a game?

Jeysie

The easiest way is, when the scene you want is on your screen, hit the Print Screen or Prt Scn button on your keyboard. (It's probably on the upper right.) Then open up your image program and choose "Paste" (or just hit Control-V).

If that doesn't work, try hitting Alt-Print Screen instead.

If that still doesn't work, then it gets a little more annoying, and we'll have to start poking into some settings. :P

how do i make it smaller ???
and what is a bmp or a jpg ???
Ski is my life blood

Jeysie

BMPs and JPGs are image formats. GIF and PNG are also image formats.

You can make a file smaller by:

1. Resizing it smaller. (Example, from 640x400 to 320x200.)
2. Saving it as a GIF, PNG, or JPG instead of BMP.
3. Saving it with fewer colors and/or less quality.

Homestar Runner for more information about graphic formats see http://computer.howstuffworks.com/question408.htm

Generally speaking .JPG is a good format to use for the web because it is both compressed (and thus comes over modems and broadband) faster AND still has good image quality.  .GIF is good for line art and items with few colors. .BMT and .TIF are uncompressed files and are good for publishing but take forever to download and aren't supported by all OS's or browsers...

Hope background helps a little...

Here's the closest thing I can make to a walkthrough.

1:open the picture in IrfanView
2:in the upper menus, click "image"
3:Click "Resize/Resample"
4:Click "Half"(in the upper right area of the new screen)
5:Click "OK"
6:in the upper menus, click "file"
7:Click "save as"
8:Click "save as type"
9: choose JPG or GIF
10:put in a name
11:click "save"

P.S. That's for an older version, so it might be slightly different.
