I think it's pretty much normal at the moment... but I think I have a good idea.

I think we should give Steve Purcell some comments... maybe request that he try to get the rights to the cancelled LucasArts game Sam and Max: Freelance Police back from LucasArts, and try to finish it.  I see no reason why a game that's about 2/3 or 3/4 complete should remain unfinished forever.  I've already sent him a comment this morning!  The way I see it, is that the more people that ask him for that game on the new blog, the more likely he'll want to support it and try to bring it back!  It'd be a great way to raise awareness, in my opinion!  This could be our chance!

So, what do you think?  Is it a good idea?

Well now THAT is a really cool find!  If you want to get in touch with him to try and get something done with Freelance Police you just got handed a method for doing so on a silver platter.

Is there seriously no RSS feed? Bummer.
You said you posted a comment already, but I don't see it. If comments need to be validated before they are posted, then I would wait before sending any more. If after a week or two your comment isn't validated, then it may be a sign that he doesn't wish to discuss it on the site.
Of course, if your comment was there earlier and was removed, it could mean the same thing.

Regardless, an occasional comment about it might not be so bad, though an e-mail or letter would be a better idea, and I assume that since the last thread you've already sent one to Telltale. What you should definitely not do is spam the blog by commenting about this on every single entry, because that's a surefire way to get ignored.
So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

I tried again (when have I not tried again?).  It got through this time.  Right now, it's the only comment of mine that's on there.

Ah, so you did; I see it now. We'll see what happens. :)

Well, at least you know you can contact him directly now.

Tell ya what - if your campaign brings back Sam and Max:Freelance Police from the clutches of LucasArts, I'll eat my own hat, live on the internet.

I've found Blogspot unreliable about posting comments, so while I wouldn't spam them (and I'm sure that's obvious to you!) it would certainly be worthwhile to post comments on a regular basis.

One bit of advice, which I've found works on blogs of people I'm a fan of, is to not comment solely on one particular thing. If you comment in a "Hey you're a real person and I'm interested in your life" kind of way, asking questions about what they've posted, etc, you can get a sort of online friendship going and you're more likely to see results that way too.

True. You have to think about it from a blogger's perspective. They're blogging so that they can share their experiences with others. If you use their blog just so you can bombard them with questions unrelated to their blog, they may feel like you are taking advantage of the resources at hand. If you at least can show Steve Purcell that you are a devout fan, and not someone who will boycott his franchise until he makes the game you want him to make, you might be able to have a window of opportunity here. I wish the best of luck to you, but you have to approach this with tact. I'm sure developers get this kind of attention all the time, and I'm sure they don't flock to these questions for their own enjoyment. Good luck.

A character from the cancelled game...

http://samandmaxblog.blogspot.com/2010/11/song-of-gytgo.html

Aw, isn't Gytgo so cute?  He reminds me of the Hole In The Wall!  Now we have to get that game uncancelled!

Enchantermon

Heh. Cute indeed. Max's reaction to him (Her? It?) remind me of his reaction to the C.O.P.S. song.
