Uh oh it says can't connect: outdated client when trying to log in to the tsl world.

noonchild

Just kicked back in, working for you?

drunkenmonkey

Single player works, but still getting the same message for multiplayer. We'll see what weldon says.

Hey thank you!  Didn't mean to disappear like that, my power has been flickering on and off all night.  Storm here in Utah and I think some snow laden tree is kissing the power lines.

So... what did the new update do, cus all it did for me is make minecraft not work : (

Heh I haven't actually had a chance to try it yet - all I saw in the server log this morning before leaving for work was that Drunkenmonkey kept getting kicked out for having an out-of-date client.

There we go - looks like Notch actually released another update already this morning and it's taken care of the fully broken stuff.  Unfortunately he also had to remove leaf decay again which is a major bummer.

One other quick update - if you have a MP server (like I do) you also have to download the newest server update as well.  I did that a while ago and it's working fine (though I won't be home much today due to family events, sorry).

And yet another - no more jumping off the top of the castle - it's now lethal.  I turned the PVP stuff off unless we decide to have a paintball match or something but I don't think I can turn player health off.

Do broken blocks still reappear sometimes?

Also, check out this random formation I found while exploring:

Pretty cool.

I didn't actually do much in the way of digging today but I did discover that I accidentally turned monsters back on (that's off again now, scared the absolute crap out of me) and that you can now collect wool and kill animals for food.  Now I can make string the right way.

Oh and I finished the maze.  Take a right at the bottom of the stairs into the castle basement and you'll see a sign marked "Point A" by a ladder.  Head up the ladder and see if you can find your way out to a sign for "Point B."

I made it up a phonie set of ladders that led to a dead end, but no point B ladder in sight at the moment.  :(

I mined a new vein in the dungeon, found at least one of every mineable type. We have enough so I left it for the next guy. :P

Enjoy your Thanksgiving.

Alright I'll be in later today to check things out - I've been so insanely busy with Episode 3 stuff and family birthdays and other events and Thanksgiving and just chaos in general that I haven't been able to come in and visit, but at least I've kept the server up for everybody else right?  :P

Things are looking progressively more and more cool around here, yeah!

And here's a video I got uploaded earlier today - path from the beach to the village and some brief interior views.  I have another of the castle basement and then me getting lost in my own maze but I'll upload that tomorrow:

So I just poked around in the server for the first time. Pretty sweet; the sunrises and sunsets are awesome, and the islands are coming along nicely. I also got my first lesson in crafting when I accidentally broke the boat in the back of the Castle. :P Lesson learned: boats are fragile. Do not jump on them. :P
So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

I agree; Minecraft has a deep beauty despite its blocky appearance.

You.... broke my boat  :furious:  No worries I'll make more.  ;D  It's great to see more people in.

Enchantermon

Sorry. I didn't mean to; I was trying to get in it and didn't realize that I was supposed to right-click on it. :P
I made another one to replace it, though. :)

Don't worry, we have plenty of wood. Have you seen the tree farm?

Ah yes we need to show him around down there, that thing took on a life of its own.

No, if it's "down" I haven't; all I saw underground were lots of caverns that I ended up getting lost in. :P

If it becomes a nuisance and/or you need the space for other construction, I wouldn't be insulted if you wanted to take flint and steel to it and burn it all down. Though if you do, I want to be there; such a conflagration would be amazing to witness.

I'm tempted to create another one for just this purpose, but the one we have is perfectly placed and quite useful.

I'm in right now. Log in and I'll give you the tour of the place.

EDIT: Enchantermon was in. I set him up with some items and stuff. We were burning things.  ;D

And it was glorious fun! :D

I have to get in on this :D
- In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo – Leonardo Da Vinci, and the Renaissance...In Switzerland, they had brotherly love.   They had five hundred years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce?  ...The cuckoo clock.
