Owl Quest and Breast Intention are spoofs, aren't they? I wasn't including those either not just because I hadn't played them, but I was pretty sure they weren't serious. :P

Oh, and a question for Katie: the TSL timeline posted on the King's Quest Wiki actually has the War of the Cloaks at 922 years prior to Graham's coronation.... which means it's not quite been 1000 years at the time of TSL. Is that correct? I just need to check my math. :P

No neither are spoofs. Though they have humor (though I think breast intentions is unintentionaly humerous, the story is actually rather bland, and there is little actual humor, its quite serious).

The developer of Breast Intentions intended it to be a completely serious game in the series. He got mad when individuals accused it of being some kind of soft porn attempt, argueing that he meant it to show a completely serious part of natural part of life. He or she was interested in breast feeding and wanted to tell a story around that king's quest universe. As mentioned there is very little intentional humor, its unhumorous actually. The only goofy stuff comes from the fact that "breasts", "breasts", "breasts" shows up throughout the game (you have to draw milk several times thorughout the game). Both Alex and Rosella can die if you don't give them milk at the right times in the game (you have to leave bottles with Rosella).

Owl's Quest on the other hand actually has very little spoof material. Its very straight game, its humerous though because of Cedric's one liners, and the intentional spelling errors. It places itself as a prequel to TSL events.

The story itself is actually plays it quite straight. Its full of normal king's quest puns, you'd expect from early King's Quest games. you know you hsould download it and complete it it can be finished in less than an hour. Has about 10-15 puzzles.

That's just an aproximation from an early interview from the team. It wasn't part of their originaly posted timelines (which they have since replaced). In those early interviews, they talked about the silver cloak vs black cloak, and said that it occured about 1000 years prior to TSL.
Well, ya, King's Quest is on Earth. Daventry is very old city from a long time ago. It's in ruins now and people aren't quite sure exactly where it used to be. There are some archaeologists searching through the ruins, they think they know its Daventry. But its somewhere on Earth."-Roberta Williams http://kingsquest.wikia.com/wiki/File:Daventryisearth.ogg

What he said. :) More details about that War, naturally, will come out with the remaining episodes, so I don't want to go into much detail on it.

Oh yeah, been meaning to ask--Baggins, are there any 'hard dates' in the KQ timeline? Apart from the dates on the tombstones in KQ4, that is. Like any specific days that are, say, Graham's birthday or Graham's coronation day, taking place on March 18th, etc, etc?

Katie, nah, the closest you get, is references to seasons (so you can tell which season a game takes place), and how many days, weeks, months,  or years passed between specific events on occasion.

So no specific dates.

Here is an article where I discuss the Daventry's calendar a bit.

That's what I figured--we'd like to put some dates in on the calendar if they exist, so wanted to double-check. Thanks.

I liked King's Quest so much better when it didn't have such convoluted history.  All this espionage makes my head spin!

King's Quest ... makes my head spin!

*Retcons BT's post*
Hahah.... Now it's Bt's Post+.
Hahaha, awesome.

Thanks Katie. I didn't really want more info on it, I just wanted to double check the accuracy. So I should be putting that at the 1,000 year mark on my timeline/outline. I'll admit that I was like "That seems like a random amount of years." :P Can you imagine a prophecy like that... "And nine hundred twenty-two years, forty-seven days, six hours, fifty-eight minutes and twenty-three seconds after the spell is cast a Hero shall arise!" "Come again?" "Oh, call it a thousand years. Fine." :P

I will have to give Owl's Quest a go, especially because I'd like to make Cedric less of a useless fop in my fanfic here (as much as possible anyways -- without losing his humor!)
Breast Intentions, however, sounds.... well, not my cup of tea, exactly. And what with this being my fanfic... I'm going to put that one on the ignore list too. :\

LOL. I'll just say that eventually it will be very clear exactly when the 1000 years dates back from.  :suffer:

Omg! I totally did not think about that (I made the pic several years ago and just found it tonight while looking for something else)... I'd have to make a lot of changes as it was rather crudely done in about 5 min. but now I'll have to work on it... XD

Wasn't planning on entering either as I couldn't think of an idea... thanks Katie! :D
