Sooooooooooo beautiful. :) <3

Thank you :) It's always nicer to see it with no ambient lighting. Cameras always seem to capture art with a warp or a glare :/
I know that scanning isn't always kind to artwork either, but this has worked out nicely.

It's mostly glossy art that it eats like pencil renders cause of the reflection. It's not too bad on colour if you have a calibrated screen and know colour hues in Photoshop. I've still got to tinker it when my computer gets back :/ It's different on every screen I look at it on. It's too vivid on this one here at work... Graphite pictures ALWAYS turn out bad though cause scanners eat subtle colours T.T

This isn't my art, but I thought I'd share it- I don't think there's a general art sharing thread >.> I commissioned it a few days ago cause her land lord is a jerk and she needed the money. Thought the TSL forums would want to see it too though :)

For those of you that haven't seen the thread about it, one of my pictures has been used in the Valentines Day e-cards :) IT was pretty honouring to be asked for my art to be used in this kind of way so... Enjoy it!

This is the one you commissioned, right?

No- it's the one in my avatar ^^; I drew it as a request. Turned out a lot nicer than I thought it would :)

Starting a picture of Rosella in her ball gown. I'm doing it themed 'grave digger' though cause she seems to always be digging up some sort of grave in her games ^^

Sslaxx

Heh, looking good! Nice start there.

You did commission some KQ art though, right? Which one was that?

Yup! That'd be the picture at the top of the page

I commissioned my friend Jadedsilk cause she's going through money problems. I wouldn't offer commissioned art to someone for an e-card without their permission. That's kinda... copyright infringement- even though neither of us own the characters. And um... I'm not sure if it's clear here- I commissioned Jadedsilk, so I didn't draw it. Incase that wasn't clear.

Thank you :) I'm going to see if I can attack it with copics at some point. Haven't decided what to do with the background. Perhaps have the Boogeyman jumping about, or a sulking Edgar wondering why she's digging up archaic artifacts from the ground and making her keep them (Most girls buy new stuff for that XD )

Thanks :) I've commissioned her a few times now :) She has a romantic feel about her pictures ^^

Spaaaaaam.... Still working on it. She needs a background now. Can't get away with none in this picture ^^;

IDeas for what I should do? A Graveyard obviously? But Zombies? Skeletons? A bored Edgar waiting for the REAL honeymoon to start? XD

KatieHal

To Rosella, this IS the honeymoon. :)

Also, excellent work!

Beautiful, but she really needs opera or elbow-length gloves if she's going to wear a ball gown. :)

Both your ideas for a background sound awesome!  Go for it, it's looking quite beautiful. :)

I can't do a huge amount bout this now since it's 2 light colours beside each other T.T I hadn't considered how long the gloves were when I drew this cause it was suppose to be a fast picture. Shows me how fast my slow pics are XD

Your art amazes me every time, woman! You are quite talented. Both ideas sound great for the Rosella drawing. How long do you work on each drawing from start to finish?

Thank you :) Sorry I haven't finished it yet- I'm currently on day 3 of being bed ridden from my back having what my chiropractor calls a threatening disc herniation. Essentially, a bit of one of my discs is bulging out and it hurts to walk, so I can't sit down and draw cause it's the same pressure.

You... ask a tough question there. Every picture is different. Depends on if I get inspired, or if I have a clue how to finish it. Also how complex the picture is, how much research I need to do, if I'm use to the medium, know the character... It's tough to tell. Usually a few hours to 6. This one I think has taken a few hours- maybe 3. I lose track of time when I'm drawing :( I could tell you about how long a  picture took. Not before I drew it though

Awww don't feel sorry for that at all! Take care of yourself first! :) I hope your back gets better soon. I'm sure it hurts a lot. My mother had back surgery a few years ago and she was in horrible pain before then.

Ah, it's like writing, just on a visual level. I get in different moods. Sometimes stories are easy to write and ideas flow right out. Then others its a little more difficult.

It's all good- it's getting better fast apparently :) I had to take 3.5 days off work though... I managed to watch season 3 and 4 of House over that period of time >.< I'm going to be analyses everything medically for a MONTH now. I've already had several House dreams XD My biggest issue was that having the bad back would make me have to cancel my surgery on Monday. Apparently I'll be fine by then :) That's all that worries me <3

All arts are similar on that level. I compare drawing to Martial arts. You learn the basics through hours of practice and dedication, then when you learn the advanced stuff, it's easier. When you're trained well, art flows like water. IT's thoughtless- just instinct. Your brain doesn't even have to think- it knows what it wants and just DOES. All Martial arts practices can be applied to any art. That's why they call it martial arts after all :)

We'll see how this background goes. So far, it seems good though :) Despite the gloves... I don't think I can fix those without it being obvious or using a different medium :(
