Typically, 1 hour = 1 credit - except for labs, which are often 2-3 hours per credit.

Ah, just curious. With my undergrad we had four classes a semester, 4 credit hours each (And a special 1 month-long January term in between semesters). Didn't even know schools did the 5 classes schedule till I got to grad school.

Frankly, I don't like the five class schedule. I'm fine with minimal classes, to reduce my workload...

Do the classes only meet once a week for three hours? Or three times a week for one hour?

We had for the most either 3x week for one hour or 2x a week for an hour and a half classes. I tried one class that was once a week for three hours and hated it. Only class I ever dropped. It was also a Drawing class and I'm terrible at that, so that didn't help, but I felt I got much more out of the art history class I took later to fill my arts credit.

(I also found it amusing I even needed to take that for an arts credit--for all four years of college I was in the marching band, the chorale, and an improv theatre group!)

My college experience was a bit strange. For my first two years of college, I was at a traditional university, but the last two went something like this: we had terms, not semesters. Each term was five weeks. We went to school Monday through Thursday. On Mondays and Wednesdays, we had one class, and Tuesdays and Thursdays we had another. Each class period was from 8:00 in the morning to 1:00 in the afternoon. Five hours. The only exceptions were labs, which were typically from 8:00 to 11:30.
It was pretty intense, and it's not easy to sit in one room for five hours, even when you get 10 minute breaks on the hour. And because each class was only five weeks long, you don't have a lot of wiggle room for slacking a bit on the homework. And if you miss a day, it's like missing an entire week in a regular college classroom.
But on the flipside, I was able to walk out of there with a Bachelor's degree in two years (would have been two and a half if the Gen Eds from my first school hadn't transfered in), and I got a lot of hands-on work, which is what I love (I learn best by doing).
So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

My classes meet once a week for three hours. Having ADHD isn't easy, and having to sit in one room for three hours doesn't help matters much.

That certainly does sound like an odd college experience! Five hour classes? I can't even begin to imagine what that must feel like!

It did help that most of the teachers were fairly dynamic, but it did take it's toll after a while, especially in some classes like Database I which was mostly lecture about stuff I had absolutely no interest in whatsoever. There was one teacher who's lectures I constantly had to fight to stay awake through because he had a very soft, mellow voice that could put me right to sleep, and having to get up at 6:30 in the morning didn't help at all.

Yeah, some of the professors here put me to sleep sometimes, but luckily, we don't get too many lectures, so I'm lucky.

I had a final earlier today. I finished in about half the time that everyone else took. I'm starting to wonder if I missed a page. XD

Well, today is my last day of finals, but its really just presentations, so I should be good. And something tells me ill be getting out early too. In a few hours, ill be done with college... until January. But that gives me a little less than a month to relax, so yay me!
