So, I had made this thread before the Activision C&D, and I'm going to revive it now. Unfortunately, my Mod powers do not extend to archived threads, so I must begin anew. And so, it is in this posting that the (new) Left Handed Alliance of Left Handed People is formed! This thread is for all those Lefties out there who feel the scorn of a predominately righty world. We lefties get no love. Where are our left handed notebooks? Our left handed pens? I don't want to go to a specialized store to get those things! So, for all those Lefties of the forums, come and rejoice with your brethren! We are here! No righty's allowed! (Ok, I actually can't stop you from posting in here, but it's appreciated if this thread, for now, remain Lefty exclusive... I may allow righty's later... We'll see...)

So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

Lefties rock!

Nothing annoyed me more in elementary and middle school than those stupid three ring binders that we were required to have.  You can't write in those if you're a lefty!  You just have to twist your hand and wrist through the rings.  And spiral notebooks were usable, but you always ended up with spiral intents on your arm.  You righties have no idea the stuff you take for granted!

Indeed I am, and proud of it!
Though I guess to be honest I'm a bit ambidextrous; I do most things with my left hand, but I use the mouse right-handed, (attempt to) play guitar right-handed and serve a volleyball right-handed.

I use the mouse right handed myself, actually. It's odd. I do most things left handed, except for using a computer mouse. My teacher is a lefty, and even uses the mouse left handed. Back when I was in seventh grade or something I sprained my wrist (or hurt it in some way from falling off my bike... It wasn't broken, and it wasn't in a cast... It was in something else... idk XD) and had to use the mouse left handed for a little while. Biggest nightmare of my life. My doctor in fifth grade also insisted on giving me a tetanous shot in my left arm. So I walked into school the next day trying to explain to my teacher why I couldn't write with my left hand. Weirdest conversation... ever.

I think with me it was just complacency. When we first got a computer, the mouse naturally ended up on the right side, and I just assumed that it was supposed to be that way and it couldn't be any other way (I was pretty young :P), so I rolled with it, and eventually it didn't even matter.

Hah, nice. I think doctors give you some shots in your dominant arm so that the medicine will spread through your body faster (since you use that hand/arm more, the blood flows more quickly through it, taking the medicine with it). I've never had any shot that was so painful that I couldn't use my arm afterward, though.

Well, I was in fifth grade, so I was young. And tetanous shots always hurt for me. I think it has something to do with the fact that they inject it into your muscle or something. idk. I asked the nurse giving it to me why they hurt so much and she explained it like that. I forgot a lot of the conversation though. Doctor's offices tend to do that to me XD

Lol. Yeah, it's one of those things that just blows over because you don't understand it, at least that's how it is with me.

What about ambidextrous?  Or multi-dextrous?  I can do things with my feet too.
I have my cake and eat it too, until it's gone.  Then I can't do either.

Alright, I'll allow ambi-dextrous, considering it does technically constitute the left hand... As for feet... I wanna say that's just plain creepy, but at the same time, in intrigues me...

Oddly enough, the dextr part of ambidextrous comes from the latin for right. (Sinister is left.)

That just goes further to prove how evil latin is.

I'm ambidextrous. Does that count or am I just a double agent? :P

As I mentioned above, I am allowing ambidextrous because it is technically using the left hand.

For me, it's mostly picking up things, opening jars, and using remotes.  I am trying to teach myself how to type with them, though, just in case something happens to my hands.  Still, we shouldn't discriminate against people without hands.

Yay for lefties! I too am a left-handed person. Damn pen-smudges... And scissors! Ugh!

Although, through sheer force of habit, I do a fair few things with my right hand. I play the violin right-handed (though it's difficult to switch and messes up an orchestra), and use the mouse and remote with my right hand. I drink ambidextrously too.

Writing with my right hand is completely out of the question, though, so I'm definitely left-handed.

Oh scissors... I just had a horror story with scissors last night at work... I had to cut out some paper things, but my gamestop only has right handed scissors. Let's just say the results were less than pretty...

Funny thing about that; I can actually use right-handed scissors perfectly with my left hand. Ironically, my mom once got me a pair of left-handed scissors and I couldn't use them at all. Go figure.
