A thousand apologies! Being a bad wizard (I practice magic without a license) I don’t think he was badly hurt… he’ll be ok ;)

I consider this in implied wish....

it wasn't a wish...

....besides the spell he used was low level, every wizard slave knows those!! ...he can cast them without the danger of losing control.... lol, so i guess it was intentionally ; )

The slaves of wizards aren't supposed to know any spells. You know what happens if the wizard catches them performing one. :o

Right! but he's no longer a slave boy but a devoted knight. So there would be no more casting of spells for him, at least until he reaches "Royal Heir"  ;P

Maybe because you only played the short path of KQ6?  ;)

once you learn a spell, you can unlearn it (forget it) but if you keep on practicing you can cast spells on any rank, can't you? you just don't have a rank that focus on that ability

You're missing the point here. One should act according to his level, that is, slash people with a sword when he's a knight and zap them into oblivion when he's a wizard, not vice versa  ;P

IIRC there was also some spell-casting involved in the short path. 8)

The long path of King's Quest VI was much more rewarding.  I liked seeing how they portrayed the Lord of the Dead.

Storm

Eh... where? If you took the short path, you didn't even need to get the spellbook, and hence not cast any spells ???

yeah... but he/she wouldn't be that narrow?? I mean, sure a knight would usually slash away, but he might use on occasion a spell....

like a wizard would usually use a spell, but might hit someone with his staff too ; )

Nah, just a fan of wizards getting back to basics to whoop some ass!  XD

A feeble wizard is no match for a well-trained knight in the physical department... he should stick to what he's good at  ;P

I swear on my honor I will never use powers I am not qualified/permitted to use again.

By the way is the list of “can’s” and “can not’s” written down someplace… ;)
