The BAD: finally got newest version of MSN...and now, after using it for about 1 1/2 hours earlier, it's not letting me on at all!  

The BAD: still no voice...and back to coughing my lungs out...thought I was over THAT part of it!

Just because it's the better option, it doesn't mean that it's "good".  When I finally find myself in a situation I always wished I would be in, I find I'm not interested.  How disappointing is that?


The BAD: Friends asking you to get involved in things you're not capable of handling.

Trust me, it's better you decided to end it now rather than later.  You're probably feeling guilt and remorse right now, but if you stayed in it you'd be feeling it all the time since it would be like living a lie.  That is, until the point where you end it and it gets much worse.  

Oh, I assure you I realize it's much better to have things out in the open now than to mislead someone.  I've been on both sides of the coin.  

All I'm saying is that the situation sucks and I wish it didn't have to be this way.

If I may... I think I know exactly what J-R is getting at, because it's happened to me a couple times.

It's like, you're lonely because nobody you like is interested, and nobody else seems to be interested in you. And you desperately wish you could actually find somebody.

And then FINALLY somebody's interested in YOU and... and... nothing. You might like the person, but you just don't love them, don't feel any spark, nothing.

So it's like, do you still date the person, hoping maybe you'll grow to love them, and it's better than being lonely? Or do you reluctantly turn the person down, knowing that not only are you still stuck being lonely, but you have to do to someone else the hated thing you've had done to you so many times?

Either way, I know what you do do... curse at the universe for playing cruel tricks on you.

(Of course, if I'm way off-base, you can ignore this post. )

You said it yourself "it is the better option" what it isn't is something nice, so it is good, just not fair. that's all.

You pretty much hit the nail right on the head, Liz.  But there was no moral dilemma.  I knew I had to tell them I wasn't interested, and that's what I did.  I knew it was better to have things out right now instead of letting it go and someone getting really hurt.

You're also right.  I have cursed the universe for playing cruel tricks on me.

It's just not a good feeling, that's all.  Yes.  Better option.  The lesser of two evils.  But that doesn't stop it from being evil.
