You were all amazing this year in showing your generosity and support in our Kickstarter campaign. So we’d like to draw your attention to another way to be generous in the holiday season for a great cause by gamers and for gamers, to bring some joy to kids who could really use it. Many of you have probably heard of the game industry charity Child’s Play<\/a>, but if not, here’s the scoop: <\/p>\n

Since 2003, we\u2019ve set up and organized Child\u2019s Play, a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in our network of over 70 hospitals worldwide. Over the years, you as a community have answered the call and come together to raise millions of dollars.<\/p>\n

Child\u2019s Play works in two ways. With the help of hospital staff, we set up gift wish lists full of video games, toys, books, and other fun stuff for kids. By clicking on a hospital location on our map, you can view that hospital\u2019s wish list and send a gift.<\/p>\n

Child\u2019s Play also receives cash donations throughout the year. With those cash donations, we purchase new consoles, peripherals, games, and more for hospitals and therapy facilities. These donations allow for children to enjoy age-appropriate entertainment, interact with their peers, friends, and family, and can provide vital distraction from an otherwise generally unpleasant experience.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In other words, a great charity for kids who could really use some cheer–and now is a great time of the year to give back!
