This is an off-the-wall guess, but I'm going to try speed, when you're riding the cart down to knock the troll off the bridge in KQ7.
It's hard to see; you need a lot of it; and the guard's nearby.

'Fraid not, but an interesting guess.  :)

tessspoon

Darn. Ah well, didn't really think that was it.
*goes back to  :wall:*

Oldbushie

Guards that sweep you off your feet sound like the guards from KQ4... XD

Make me think of the Sense Gnomes throwing Alexander into the ocean.

The last line almost echoes what it says when Alexander goes into the ocean of his own accord(or on account of Shamir)
"Nothing like getting swept off your feet..."

The Lord Of The Dead in KQ6?
It's hard to get to see him, you ask a lot of him (to raise the dead) and his guard (the gate) sweeps you of your feet when he eats you.

"Never argue with idiots. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."

hercrabbiness

Nope. Wow, I've forgotten how many ways you can get "swept off your feet." XD

Good idea, but you don't actually need a lot of the Lord of the Dead himself.  ;)

I really thought Tessy had this with her "speed" answer... (it was a really good answer and the kind of answer one would expect of a riddle: something a bit less tangible)

I'd like to guess light.

Lots of people forget about light, ie- the reality of it all around them most of the time (thus, making it hard to see, cp. forest, trees :P). In particular, I'm thinking of the light from the lamp in KQ4 when you're going through the cave. You need plenty of light (and get so little!), and the "guard" in the cave kills you... not sure if he sweeps you off your feet...

Beyond that, guile or cleverness works almost universally because the characters in KQ all need a lot of it and usually use it in escaping some guard or another... I could make a long list here...

Eh, nvm, that... The answer is obviously the goat from KQ1! Heck, the royal family should just keep a bunch of goats around them: nothing would ever happen! Have you ever walked around with that goat!? Nothing will come near you! *bets the goat could have taken on the giant and the dragon* "[Shield?] We don't need no stinkin' [shield!]" We've got a goat!

Here's a hint: the answer is something you will add to your inventory.  ;)

XD This made my day. *applause!*

lol, I almost choked on my graham crackers when I read that, I was laughing so much.
The price for a goat in Daventry just rose dramatically. XD

uhm, the invisible ink in KQ6... *horrible guess*

But you will not find the guard nearby the ink.

Delling

I've got the answer... it's perfect if this is it...

The sentence in the ocean! You need a lot of them! (Just how many sentences are there in the game?), and the guards nearby do sweep you off your feet! I suppose for some it is hard to see the sentence adrift in the ocean there...

But you don't store a lot of sentences in your inventory; you only have one!  :P

Boogeyman

Plus, I already mentioned the gnomes.
I don't narrate for stinky kings!

Delling

yes, but your mentioning them was not a guess nor a question just a passing comment... it did plant the suggestion that they were guard in question... anyway, I'll guess again tomorrow.... which is today

But that isn't an inventory item.

Rosella

I think the locket in KQ5. I have no clue why you'd need a lot of it, but it's hard to see, and you have to get it quickly or the eagle (A more on-your-side kind of guard) will sweep you away. :P

It's funny how you find you enjoy your life when you're happy to be alive.

hercrabbiness

Nope.

Here's another hint: it isn't anywhere in KQV to KQVIII. Look in the first half of the series.  ;)
