But the photograph, however doctored it may be, makes Andrew Garfield as Spider-man look nice. And I gotta admit, the movie may not be so bad...

I think his suit looks fine, but then again, I never read the comics or saw much of the TV show. But do keep in mind that this is a reboot. As such, things will change...

They don't need to change the suit for a reboot. Even Stan Lee said he never altered the Spider-Man costume once in the comics because it was so good.

To be fair, as redesigns go, that's pretty mild. It's not like they changed the color scheme and the style and made it into body armor or something.

The really silly thing about it is that according to the comics (and the first set of movies), Peter Parker was supposed to have MADE the costume from scratch.  Now I ask you, does that look like something a teenage kid could just MAKE??  ;)

Oh yeah totally. So long as you know how, have the right amount of money, and have the right connections. Sadly, I don't think Peter Parker, no matter the universe, has any of those things. But, let's not stray too far from the topic of this thread, shall we?
