-Content: my room is clean and completely organized, my laundry is almost done, and I have a linen-scented candle burning on my desk.  Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
-Catching up with my fellow forumers
-Clipping my fingernails

Pretty awesome! Spent yesterday at the museums at Seattle Center and the Space Needle, then today walked through Pike Place and along the waterfront and visited the Aquarium. Tomorrow we're heading to the zoo for a bit before heading back for the 4 hour drive. Been a lot of fun! We might take another trip up the Space Needle tonight once it gets darker, we got the City Pass thing and that had tickets for two trips up.

Oh, fun! I always watch the otters at the Aquarium; they're sooooooo adorable.  And I'm glad you got to go up to the Needle--I haven't been up there since I was little, when I discovered the hard way that I'm afraid of heights.   I'm so happy you're having fun!  Seattle is an adventure for sure.  And hey, we're both in King County right now!

-Wake and alert for the first time in a while.
-Calling the vet to make sure everything is good for tomorrow.

-vacillating between outrage at being robbed by delta or doubt that I even put the games in my bag... (several video games seem to have disappeared from my checked luggage)

I JUST DID THESE EXACT THREE THINGS ABOUT HALF AN HOUR AGO!!   Were you watching the We Network?

That's frustrating.  I bet those jackasses are in the control tower having a Halo face-off.

It was several JRPGs: almost my entire collection of Wild ARMs (1-3 & 5), Valkyrie Profile 1&2, and Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter. They did not steal Wild ARMs 4 (which shows they have some taste, but then truly tasteful people are not petty thieves) or Wild ARMs:Altercode F (which demonstrates a lack of taste).

On the plus side, my memory card was still in the WA4 case.

I emailed Delta and basically said: I am out ~$350, you have de-incentivized customer loyalty with your changes to the medallion scheme and you will do something about this or I will take the next ~7000€ of my business elsewhere. Doubtless this will accomplish nothing... except my flying on American Airlines from here on out and never again checking anything but clothes... I may consider including a jerry-rigged ink pack and can of mase... "let's see: your hands and face are blue and your eyes are red and irritated... are you sure you didn't open something you weren't supposed to?"... hrmm... maybe some skunk scent too... sure I'll have to wash my clothes with vinegar... but it warms my heart to think of some thief blue, blind, and blech!  (I either take things too far or not far enough )

I have heard back from both Delta and the TSA. Delta, not surprisingly, just said: "we're sure you're upset about this, but we aren't responsible for your belongings (when you commit them to our care).  " The TSA suggested that I contact all 4 airports lost and found services.  Seriously?

Now, most likely what happened was that some baggage handlers somewhere along the way took it upon themselves to "inspect" my bag. JFK has a reputation for such things, but that in no way rules out ATL and Charlotte, NC. (For some reason, I find it least likely that they were removed in Shannon... even though there certainly was a looooong delay getting the bags for my flight.) *sigh* Anyway, who wants pie? I made pecan! (And I need to make lemon meringue soon as my roommate is returning. ) (The worst part is when I get bored and/or frustrated with DDO & LOL, I go: "Man, I play these too much... and they've become more like work than fun... wasn't I bringing back a solution to all of this? Yeah, let's play some... Wi...ld... ARM...s ... oh, right... people suck.")

Oh, right, what am I doing...

-being in the office
-finishing the HCN model (maybe... there is... an oddity... )
-needing to work on the NH3 model...
-taking a break
-not surprisingly trying to stretch out said break until I feel comfortable calling it quits for the day (is 3pm good? 4'd be better... should be in 'til 5 actually... bad brain, stop working against my lazy )

-the main reason I'm trying to stretch it out: I need to go put the oddity into all of the other models and see if it works then... if it DOES, then I'm golden ... if it doesn't (more likely)... well, I have to start over on them...
-also, also b/c NH3 (ammonia) doesn't want to behave itself...
