I just played & finished this game tonight and I'd love to hear thoughts from anyone else who have also played it. :) I'll try to avoid blatant spoilers, though.

I thought it was really lovely story. I mostly followed the story of Sam, the main story going on--apparently there are somewhat detailed side stories about the parents & Oscar you can also find details of, and I did find some of those but not all. Sam's story is lovely, though--they really did  fit her right into the time period and age she was intended to be (16-17 in 1995). That's when I was around that age as well, so it definitely hit some nostalgic notes not just in the setting but in the discovery and fervor of being 16.

The discovery aspect of the house was also interesting. I could never quite shake the feeling of being creeped out by the dark rooms before I found lightswitches, etc, which interfered a bit with paying more attention to the story, so if you're thinking of playing, don't let yourself get caught into that mindset. It's not that kind of game.

I am curious to go back and find more bits about the other side stories you can discover, too.

Well, it only just came out yesterday or the day before, to be fair, and it's very much an indie, not a big AAA title.

In fact, I'll go add a link in my original post.

It's very good.  The biggest key in my view is the level of detail and work put into the house itself, though the story is strong as well.  Only downer is that it only takes a couple of hours to beat.
